With 22 years of experience in international markets, Mark specializes in providing advice to international private clients and their families, US citizens living abroad or in transition, and international small to midsized endowments and foundations.

In 2000, at the age of 23, Mark started his career as an Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch in Ottawa. It was two months before the tech bubble burst—but the resulting experience gave him perspectives which help guide his clients today. He joined UBS in Toronto in 2008 as Desk Head for high net worth clients and, after a 2013 relocation to his wife’s hometown of San Antonio, became Branch Manager and Financial Advisor for UBS’s international office.

As the Truth North team’s go-to person for international questions, Mark helps his clients resolve a host of different issues—they’re more likely to own non-US securities, need a loan in another currency or move to other jurisdictions. Mark draws upon the global resources of UBS, as well as the relationships he’s built across the firm, to develop the best possible wealth management solution for each client’s unique needs. What he enjoys most about working with the people he serves is learning about their families and what matters most to them—and then helping them achieve their financial goals.

Outside the office

Mark and his wife, Kerry, keep busy with their triplets, born in 2013, who Mark enjoys coaching in their sporting activities. They travel as much as possible. In 2021 alone, Mark went to five countries. and has been to 43 of the 50 states, all the Canadian provinces and 23 countries. Although Mark is mostly focused on family and career, he and his wife enjoy their time as members of The Club at Horseshoe Bay Resort and The Club at Sonterra.

Having started his career in a family office, Jake has a deep, personal understanding of the ultra-high net worth market. Jake focuses on building customized portfolios and strives to create innovative solutions to the challenges that come with exceptional wealth. That’s why, since joining UBS, his focus has been building customized investment strategies for high-net worth millennials, entrepreneurs, executives, and family offices.
