Whether due to his upbringing as part of a big, close-knit Italian family or to the many situations he’s helped families navigate over his 30+ year career as an investment manager, families are Mark DeSalvo’s focus. More specifically, Mark and his team take a personalized approach to helping multigenerational families meet their goals by developing and implementing individually tailored financial plans and investment strategies.
Mark began his career in wealth management in 1987 after graduating from East Carolina University with a B.B.A. in finance. Over his career he has held positions as a Financial Advisor and as a Branch Manager with Morgan Stanley and RBC Wealth Management. Mark joined the Norfolk office of UBS in 2011.
As the head of the Generational Wealth Management group, Mark keeps busy in the office, as well as out of the office. In addition to volunteering with Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia and Children’s Hospital of The Kings Daughters, Mark is an avid long-distance biker and also plays in a classic rock band. Mark has three daughters and lives in Chesapeake, VA.

Katelin has been interested in financial markets since she was a child, when her parents showed her the ins and outs of saving and investing. Her internship with a financial services group while in college added real world experience to what she learned at home. In 2008 she joined Edward Jones as a financial advisor; she arrived at UBS in 2010 and joined the Generational Wealth Group in 2022.
Katelin lives in Virginia Beach with her husband, Adam, and their son, Tommy. She enjoys traveling, baking, wine tasting and spending time at the beach and with family.
