Her focus and training are in financial planning, but Shelley sees her role as "financial therapist." To her, planning helps clients find peace of mind. They see their entire balance sheet and can then address their concerns, identify pitfalls and seize opportunities—especially with Shelley's help and her ability to understand and problem solve.
She found her calling in Financial Services when she turned 18--changing her college major to finance, followed by an MBA. She combined her love of finance with her desire to help people so becoming a Financial Advisor was a natural fit. Having been at UBS for more than 25 years, Shelley is an indispensable member of her team. While she does much of the planning work with clients, she is detailed oriented and provides insight and education into any issue or challenge the team is facing. Shelley is consistent, thorough and dedicated to finding the right answer.
Shelley is a member of Financial Planning Associate of Silicon Valley. She has earned numerous accreditations over her long career, including her Series 7, 63, 65 and 3 securities licenses and her insurance license.
Outside of work, Shelley and her two daughters, Emily and Amanda, enjoy hiking, local parks and traveling to new places. She enjoys cooking gourmet meals for her family and playing tennis. Together they share a commitment to their community, volunteering for Peninsula Open Space Trust, Save our Shores, Creek Connections Action Group, and Santa Clara County Parks.

Financial Advisor
Two defining moments helped drive my passion towards becoming a financial advisor, the first being vivid memories of sitting on my grandfather’s lap, watching him trade stocks on the green screen. The second was growing up in an affluent neighborhood with a normal childhood, and suddenly, my junior year having everything I loved and cherished ripped away. I experienced firsthand what financial stability was not supposed to be, and how easily it could tear a family apart. One of the main reasons I got into this industry is to never let what I experienced happen to anyone else. I hope to always be able to provide for my family, and my passion is to help others along the way.
Finding my home with UBS, with my team ARC Partners, has allowed my passion and pride in building close relationships with clients to flourish. I have always loved learning about the stock market and received my degree in economics with a concentration in risk and portfolio management. After moving to California from Maryland, I began mentoring and coaching youth lacrosse. Having started two local high school programs, I realized that the true value lies in mentoring young boys to become men, all while sharing the financial skills that will allow them to get a jump start on life’s next steps and helping them and their families protect and grow their wealth.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Allison, and our English Bulldog, Graham. Some of our hobbies include skiing, playing tennis or golf, learning to fly and training for triathlons such as the Ironman and Escape from Alcatraz.
