Tom has worked in the financial world since 1985. His multi-generational approach to finance incorporates a long term-view with a tactical overlay. He excels at simplifying the complex for his clients and designing customized financial plans that create tax efficient strategies and minimize the effects of market volatility.
Tom specializes in yield-driven strategies across equities, fixed income, alternative investments and structured solutions. Tom knows that significant wealth brings complex challenges. He is uniquely skilled at creating customized solutions to the intricate issues surrounding wealth management.
UBS has awarded his expertise with both the distinguished UBS Private Wealth Advisor and the Senior Portfolio Manager designations.
Tom has long family roots in the Bay Area. He and his wife, Sandy, are proud parents of Emily and Philip, and just welcomed their second grandchild. He is a competitive swimmer and tennis player and an Eagle Scout. His commitment to service that he developed throughout all aspects of his life has proven valuable in guiding clients over the years.

Shelley found her calling in Financial Services early in her life. She majored in finance in college, and then went on to get her MBA. The opportunities and nuances in strategic planning fascinated her, which, combined with her desire to help people made becoming a Financial Advisor a natural fit.
Shelley works with Silicon Valley executives with concentrated public and private equity and provides a broad array of services including tailored lending, diversification strategies and alternative investments. She relishes the opportunity to solve complex financial problems and is relentless in the pursuit of a solution. She is skilled at reviewing a client’s entire balance sheet to identify pitfalls and seize opportunities. “Planning with purpose” helps her clients avoid emotional decision making during difficult times.
Shelley was featured in the inaugural list of “Financial Visionaries: 20 Leading Startup Financial Planners in California." Shelley is also a member of Financial Planning Associate of Silicon Valley and has earned numerous accreditations over her long career, including her Series 7, 63, 65 and 3 securities licenses and her insurance license.
Outside of work, Shelley and her two daughters, Emily and Amanda, enjoy hiking, local parks and traveling to new places. She enjoys cooking gourmet meals for her family and playing tennis. She and her daughters share a commitment to their community, volunteering for Peninsula Open Space Trust, Save our Shores, Creek Connections Action Group, and Santa Clara County Parks.

Dave is a back-of-the-envelope theorist. Focusing on the fundamentals, his philosophy is simplicity over complexity
Dave joined ARC partners in 2020 with the desire to increase the expertise he could offer his clients. He has worked with many clients for over 30 years, spanning their many significant life events. Dave has been with UBS and its predecessor firm PaineWebber since 1985.
He received his BA from UC Davis and splits his time between his homes in Atherton and Rhode Island. He has three adult children and four grandchildren spanning the globe. Loving sports, Dave enjoys swimming he participates in the annual “Save the Bay” swim in the Narragansett Bay, and will play Frisbee with anyone who wants to move.

After graduating with Honors from Occidental College, Sara became fascinated with finance and stock markets and began her career at Kidder, Peabody & Co. Sara became the first woman branch manager in San Jose and Palo Alto for Kidder before stepping away from management in 2004.
With decades of experience spanning both the financial/retirement planning and management realms of brokerage, she’s learned that wealth is built, not on fleeting trends, but on a foundation of wisdom and experience. Her focus is on Silicon Valley executives and middle-management at both private and publicly-traded corporations with a particular expertise in retirement planning. Furthermore, Sara understands the unique challenges and opportunities women face in the fray of today’s financial world.
UBS has recognized Sara’s experience and expertise by selecting her to serve on the UBS Financial Advisory Council (FAAC) in 2017. She served as Co-Chair from 2019-2020, and because of her leadership and vast knowledge of the business, was asked to serve an additional 2 years beyond the normal 3 year term.
Sara has been an avid tennis player since college as well as an accomplished equestrian. She runs daily with her beloved dog Wally and spends time in her nascent vineyard.

Matthew joined UBS in 2011 and oversees client administration for ARC Partners. Matthew has more than 17 years of experience in the financial services industry, and has been recognized annually as a Banking Champion since 2014. A graduate of UC Berkeley, Matthew received a B.A. in Political Science and subsequently earned Series 7, 63, 65, 31 and insurance licenses.
Matthew coaches his son's baseball team and daughter's soccer team and enjoys exploring the great outdoors with his family. He closely follows the local professional soccer club San Jose Earthquakes as well as the US Men's National Team.

Alex joined UBS in 2017 and oversees client administration for ARC Partners. After earning a B.A. in Political Science from San Jose State University, Alex moved to Sacramento to volunteer in numerous local and state elections throughout California. A successful transition into the financial services industry has led Alex to advance her knowledge by earning the Series 7 and 66 license.
Alex is responsible for all day-to-day administrative duties, works closely with the team on portfolio reviews and provides excellent client service, assisting with any client requests and queries. Efficient and detail-oriented, she confirms and oversees all scheduled client reviews. Her supervision of this process ensures that each client is receiving the service they deserve.
Always focused on deepening clients’ experience and relationships with the team, Alex manages all marketing and communications initiatives. She provides creative client outreach solutions and is also the team’s main coordinator for planning and organizing client events.
A Bay Area native, Alex enjoys travelling up and down the coast with her husband, Matt. Together, they share of a love for cooking, the San Jose Sharks, and exploring local craft breweries. Alex and Matt welcomed their son, Andrew, in 2022.

Fay brings more than 20 years of experience as the key Senior Registered Client Service Associate. She brings her commitment to integrity and a client-centered work ethic to each relationship. Fay is the key point of contact, handling all aspects of account administration and providing clients access to the extensive resources of UBS Wealth Management. Fay is passionate about delivering the finest experience to her team's most discerning clients.
Fay holds Securities Licenses Series 7, Series 66, and Series 31. Fay is married and has one daughter. Of note, Fay is also an expert gardener and gourmet cook; she hosts some of the best dinner parties in San Jose.
