    After graduating from the University of Kentucky, George began an exciting career in Naval Aviation that involved flying all over the world. Nine years later, he was drawn to the similarities that aviation’s planning and attention to detail had to the financial planning process. Having invested over 40 years of his life helping people plan for their future and grow their wealth, George feels grateful and humbled for everything he has experienced along the way.

     

    As the senior member of the Union Square group at UBS and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, George is committed to a planning process that helps people achieve their financial goals. Along with the Team, he develops a unique investment strategy for each client, and regularly review their progress and adjust as their lives evolve and markets change. The Financial Goal Analysis is at the center of client relationships at the Union Square Group.

    Doug’s first job out of college was with a local bank where he often saw customers moving funds from their savings to the capital markets in order to achieve a higher return. He witnessed firsthand the value of what long-term investing can do to secure a better life for most people and their families.

     

    Today, with over 36 years in the financial industry, Doug is proud to be part of the UBS Union Square Group where our mission is to deliver wealth management services that have a positive impact on our clients’ lives and the legacy they leave for their families and community. The team collaborates to leverage each other’s strengths and areas of expertise so that we can provide the most comprehensive services to our clients. Doug ensures that the Team always puts our clients’ needs first.

    Doug is also heavily involved in volunteer work for at his alma mater, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. As the past chairman of the UC Foundation, Doug was instrumental in helping the university raise funds for student scholarships and faculty chairs. His other service activities include serving on the UT Foundation Incorporated Board and the Morning Pointe Foundation Board.

     

    When Doug is not working or serving on Boards, he enjoys spending time with his wife Jill and going to Santa Monica, CA to visit his son, Will, daughter in-law Barinya and granddaughter Madison.

    Molly has worked with George & the Team as a Client Service Associate since 2016. She earned her Series 7 & 66 Licenses in 2017 for her role as a Registered CSA. Molly functions as the team’s Chief Operating Officer and has the privilege of getting to know our clients while overseeing the team’s administrative duties.

     

    As the team’s most experienced associate, Molly handles the most sensitive and complex matters brought to us by our clients. Her precision, timeliness, and deep understanding of our clients’ needs help put our clients’ worries at ease and keep the Union Square Group running smoothly.

     

    Molly was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. As the daughter of a retired UBS employee, Molly grew up in the UBS office. She attended Girls Preparatory School (Class of 2011) and studied Art at Belhaven University in Jackson, MS where she graduated Manga Cum Laude in 2015 with a B.A. in Fine Art, with an emphasis on Art History and Photography. When she’s away from the office, Molly loves getting to travel, but enjoys getting to return home to Chattanooga and to spend time with her large extended family.  Whether she’s hiking or checking out Chattanooga’s newest watering hole, you’ll usually find her with her Great Pyrenees/Border Collie mix, Archie.

          Evan, a native of Nashville, Tennessee, brings a vibrant and passionate energy to our wealth management team, having joined us in August 2023. Evan graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in May of 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a bachelor’s degree in Economics, two fields that he finds very intriguing but more importantly challenging. Evan has been working in wealth management since his very first internship at just 19 years old where he discovered his passion for the field—a passion that has only grown stronger over time.

           

          What truly sets Evan apart is his dedication to client service. Evan places a higher value on the human connections he fosters within his role. He takes great joy in getting to know his clients on a personal level, and wants his clients to smile whenever he gets the chance to speak with them. To Evan, these relationships are not just business interactions; they're friendships built on trust, understanding, and mutual respect.

           

          Outside the office, Evan leads an active and balanced lifestyle. He is committed to his physical health, regularly engaging in exercise and outdoor activities such as snowboarding, which allows him to embrace the challenges and tranquility of nature alike. Evan also enjoys sharpening his strategic thinking through games of billiards and chess, demonstrating his love for strategy both in his professional and personal life. To relax, he enjoys hanging out with his college buddies, and to really unwind, Evan enjoys reading non-fiction on his porch.
