Rem joined UBS in 2001 after 12 years at Merrill Lynch. Over the course of his career, he has earned industry recognition including being named a Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisor in Massachusetts for 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Rem’s focus is on portfolio management, including asset allocation, and sector and security selection.
Rem is an active volunteer and former director at Sailing Heals, a nonprofit organization that takes cancer patients out for a day of sailing and respite. He is also involved with American Corporate Partners, a career development and mentoring program for veterans. In addition, he is past president of the board of Pleon Yacht Club, a nonprofit yacht club for children in Marblehead, MA. A graduate of Denison University with a B.A. in economics, Rem is married with four children and lives in Swampscott, MA. During his leisure time, he enjoys boating, skiing and playing guitar.
Curtis joined UBS in 2001 after spending most of his career at KPMG, a Big Four accounting firm. Though he is no longer practicing, he earned his CPA credential while working there. Today, Curtis takes pride in delivering value to UBS clients through investment management solutions and superior customer service. His areas of focus include asset allocation, financial planning and corporate retirement programs.
Curtis is an avid sports enthusiast.
Maria started her career at UBS in 1999 and began working with George Malin in 2001. Meeting the rigorous professional standards and requirements of the CFP® Board, Maria is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, as well as a non-practicing attorney. She graduated from Babson College and Boston College Law School and is licensed for life, accident and health insurance.
Maria lives in Boston with her two children and enjoys being active.
Hank brings over a decade of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in working with high-net-worth individuals and families. Most recently, Hank served as a Vice President at Goldman Sachs, where he developed a deep expertise in wealth management, investment strategies, and personalized financial planning. Hank graduated from St. George’s School and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity College. He holds a Series 7, 63 and 66 securities licenses as well as life, health, and disability insurance licenses. Hank is a Mentor at American Corporate Partners, a program designed to assisting veterans, transitioning service members, and active duty military spouses with their professional career development Outside the office, Hank enjoys spending time on the water boating and is an avid skier. He currently resides in Charlestown, MA, with his wife, Hannah, and their son, Harrison.
Karen joined our team in March 2024 as our Team Administrator. She has been with UBS since 1996, starting in the firm’s Portland Maine office before relocating to Boston in 1999. As our Team Administrator, Karen will draw on her vast knowledge of UBS systems and procedures in partnership with Paul Reis and Jim Schneiders to deliver excellent customer service to our clients.
She currently resides north of Boston. She is an avid reader and enjoys going to the theater and symphony.
Jim is the newest member of our team, bringing prior experience with UBS wealth management as well as experience in project management. Jim recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison earning degrees in Finance and Real Estate Economics. Jim holds his SIE certification and is actively working on obtaining his series 7 and 66 certifications.
Jim is originally from Ipswich, MA but currently resides in Dorchester. In his free time Jim enjoys skiing, boating, the beach and is an avid Boston Sports fan.
