Financial planning for what you want to accomplish

Generational Family on Beach

Understanding your life, your wealth and what you want to accomplish is at the core of our practice. We'll discuss your goals, the people who are most important in your life and your vision for the future. Then we'll help you organize your financial life into three strategies: Liquidity—to help provide cash flow for short-term expenses, Longevity—for longer-term needs and Legacy—for needs that go beyond your own.

Timeframes may vary. Strategies are subject to individual client goals, objectives and suitability. This approach is not a promise or guarantee that wealth, or any financial results, can or will be achieved.

Scott Singor graduated from Liberty University with a Business degree in Finance. His investment career started in 2005 with BB&T Investment Services largely dealing with private clients.  His father started a forestry products business when Scott was 11. The plan was for Scott to earn a business degree and then go back and take over the business.  The plan changed after meeting his wife Lauren, a native of Virginia Beach.  Thankfully, Muskoka Timber Mills continues to thrive in the family and most importantly there have been no tarnished relationships.  Scott uses his experience to focus most of his time working with multi-generational families predominantly from private business owners, senior executives and medical doctors.  He is a Senior Vice President – Wealth Management and a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of Virginia.

Growing up in Canada, Scott has had a lifelong passion for the game of Ice Hockey. Now living in Virginia that energy shifted to the game of golf.   His wife Lauren is graduate of the MCV School of Dentistry and has been practicing locally since 2008.  Both love travel, however, these endeavors will be taking a back seat in the short term as they have been blessed with twin boys Jack and Henry, and recently welcomed their baby girl Brooke in March 2022.  Locally they are active in their church leading various groups and outreach events.
