With the complexity of today's markets and uncertainty about tomorrow's economy, good financial advice is more important than ever. As a team of dedicated Financial Advisors, we're committed to helping you organize your finances around your short term needs, your longer-term goals and what you envision for generations to come. Our knowledgeable perspective, good judgement and broad experience can help you meet your challenges and seize opportunities.
Our mission is to provide quality strategies customized to your needs. Our goal is to be your primary source of financial advice. To this end, we concentrate our efforts on developing long-term relationships through a commitment to quality client service.
It's easy to get overwhelmed thinking about finances. What will happen when you retire? What about your kids or your grandkids? How will selling your business impact your personal life? I believe it's my job as a financial advisor to help you grasp the bigger picture.
Creating a comprehensive financial plan can be complex--but together we can navigate these murky waters. I love helping people unravel complicated problems with overall objectives in mind. As your financial advisor, I am committed to listening to you so we can work together to create a detailed plan that puts your goals within reach.
And we won't be doing this alone. UBS is the largest Swiss banking institute in the world, and our team in Boise has over six decades of experience in the financial services industry--with that comes all the resources we need to successfully manage your wealth.
I live in Boise with my wife and four beautiful daughters. I've gone from setting NCAA swimming records to splashing with kids in the YMCA pool. When I'm not with my family or coaching, I still try to squeeze in the occasional triathlon.
Education History
Whitworth University - Master of Business Administration
Whitworth University - Bachelor of Arts, Religion
Growing up in a small community in the mountains of Idaho taught me that everyone is different. Everyone has a unique perspective that needs to be heard. In my career I have also learned that everyone's financial situation is different -- each person has unique challenges and goals. We believe when it comes to helping you manage your money, the best place to start is by listening --then we can discover and tailor the investment solution that best meets your needs.
I left McCall Idaho to attend an Ivy League university where I studied economics. From there I began a career of more than 20 years on Wall Street --working as an analyst, strategist, and trader in one of the most challenging markets in the world. I have managed billions of dollars of cumulative equity exposures through some of the most uncertain economic times since the Great Depression.
This education and experience -- along with UBS' resources –enables me to work alongside you as a trusted teammate and help you confidently reach your financial goals.
I've moved back to Idaho and currently live in Boise with my wife and our four children. I have coached youth football and wrestling, and currently coach lacrosse here in the Treasure Valley. I am a board member of the American Red Cross of Greater Idaho, serve as co-chair of the philanthropy committee and a member of the executive committee. I recently earned my Certified Exit Planning Advisor designation, which offers specific training in helping business owners prepare their business and estates for significant liquidity events. I am also a founding member of the Mountain West Chapter of the Exit Planning Institute.
My family and I take pride in the great state of Idaho, and love taking advantage of all that our beautiful state has to offer -- whether that's skiing, camping, hiking, biking, trail running, or golf.
Education History
University of Pennsylvania - Bachelor of Arts, Economics
Finances are deeply personal. And after three decades in the financial services industry, I know how important forming a connection with the team handling your financial planning can be. That's why I love cultivating relationships with our clients so they have the best experience possible.
It takes a team to succeed and -- working with the Thompson Harris Wang Wealth Management --my role is to make sure you are taken care of to the highest degree. I will personally ensure your needs are met with excellence and care -- whether that is opening or maintaining accounts, transferring funds, or exploring securities-backed lending solutions.
I've lived in Boise since 1987 and love spending time with my family and friends. And when I am not reading anything I can get my hands on, you can find me working in my garden.
