Joe Baer joined UBS Private Wealth Management in 2012 after twelve years at AllianceBernstein where he became a Principal of the firm in 2005.
He began his professional career with a national public accounting firm, and subsequently became financial controller of an international hotel company and vice president of a regional commercial real estate firm.
Joe received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Washington State University in 1981 and subsequently earned his accreditation as a Certified Public Accountant.
Joe is a native of Bellevue and resides in Sammamish with his wife, Barbara. They have two grown children living on the east coast. In his spare time, Joe enjoys backpacking, skiing, and fly fishing, as well as spending time with his family. Joe and Barbara are active supporters of the Sammamish YMCA, Camp Four Winds on Orcas Island, and Eastside Catholic School.
Greg Olson began his advisory career in 1994 as a management consultant working with wealthy families and entrepreneurs across a broad range of strategic and operational issues. In 2003, Greg took his passion for working with business owners and executives from helping them optimize their businesses to aligning their financial resources to meet their goals upon business sale or retirement.
Greg joined UBS in 2012 after nine years at AllianceBernstein. A Principal of the firm, Greg presented extensively to clients and professionals on advanced estate planning strategies.
After graduating from the United States Air Force Academy in 1987, Greg served as both an instructor pilot and evaluator in the supersonic Northrop T-38 Talon. Following nine years of military service, Greg traded in his ejection seat and parachute for a backpack to earn his MBA from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA in 1994.
Greg and his wife Vivian, also a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, spend their spare time playing tennis and golf with friends and with their two children.
Tye Rickert joined UBS Private Wealth Management in June 2012 after serving two years as a Vice President with Morgan Stanley Private Bank in Bellevue. During his time there, he was responsible for private and tailored lending for ultra-high net worth clients residing in Washington and Alaska. Prior to this, he spent nearly five years as an associate and senior associate with Alliance Bernstein in Seattle.
Tye holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and focuses on multi-generational wealth planning, asset allocation, portfolio implementation, and lending. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington and is active in local alumni events.
Tye was raised in Skagit Valley but now resides in Sammamish with his wife Kerry and their three children. Tye is an avid college football fan and enjoys golfing, attending concerts, traveling, and coaching youth sports.

Since joining UBS in 2010, Colin has provided families and retirees with comprehensive wealth management solutions to help them achieve their vision of success. Colin's experience with financial services started well before he even began his career, as his father, was also a successful financial advisor. As a result, Colin had the privilege of growing up in the industry and observing how the trusted role of a financial advisor can have a significant impact on the livelihood of generations. Colin holds the Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, as well as Life, Disability, Long-Term Care and Annuity Insurance Licenses. He is also a chartered retirement plan specialist - CRPS®. Colin earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington.

Alison started in the investment services industry out of college in 2006, after earning her BA in International Political Economy at the University of Washington. She obtained the Series 7 and Series 66 license in 2007 while working at UBS. In her early career, Alison supported financial advisors as a Registered Client Service Associate and moved from UBS to Citigroup Smith Barney at the beginning of 2008. In late 2008, she moved to RBC Wealth Management into the role of Investment Associate. In 2019, Alison became a financial advisor at RBC out of a desire to lead more clients toward success in their financial journey. In 2021, Alison returned to UBS to partner with longtime family friend and financial advisor, Colin Simon. Together with Colin and the extended team at UBS, Alison strives to deliver an exceptional experience for clients by understanding what is most important to them and creating a meaningful impact on their wellbeing.
Alison is a native of Washington state and currently resides in Kirkland with her husband and three sons. She enjoys running, having been a former track & field athlete at the University of Washington, and currently volunteers as an assistant coach of track & field and cross-country at Northwest University. Alison also serves on the board of the Parent Teacher Student Association for her kid's elementary school and is actively involved in her church.
Dan Slattery joined UBS in 2015 after four years at Citizens Bank in Boston. He focused on mortgage financing for clients in a number of programs including Jumbo, FHA, and VA loans. He later transitioned to the private bank as a trust administrator.
Dan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Colby-Sawyer College in 2009 while playing varsity baseball as a pitcher. He also played drums in several bands opening for national acts.
Dan resides in Queen Anne with his wife Jessica, who works at Amazon and is also a Massachusetts native. They enjoy working out, hiking, camping, traveling, and spending time with their two Maine Coon cats.
John joined the Northwest Group at UBS in 2023, after getting his start in financial services with Bank of America and Merrill. His primary responsibilities were providing account maintenance and education for clients’ banking and investment needs.
Graduating as a double major from the University of Washington in 2022, John earned bachelor’s degrees in Applied and Computational Mathematical Sciences, and Economics. He holds his Series 7 and 66 licenses, as well as a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™ designation.
Born and raised in Hanover, Massachusetts before moving to the Pacific Northwest, John currently lives in Seattle. When not in the office, he enjoys getting outdoors, playing ice hockey, and practicing the piano.
