Thaddeus Eckerle

Thad began his career in the financial services industry at Morgan Stanley in 2001. He moved to Merrill Lynch in 2003 and joined UBS in 2015. As a co-founder of The Eckerle Metzinger Group, Thad is one of the team’s lead wealth managers and is responsible for a variety of functions including investment management, income management and retirement planning strategies and analysis. He also serves as one of the team’s relationship managers.

For corporate employees approaching or already in retirement, Thad helps them prepare for and maintain a comfortable life after work. Using sophisticated retirement outcome tools, Thad can evaluate the likelihood, under various market scenarios, of achieving clients’ goals and desired lifestyle, and demonstrate the impact that those goals might have on their future wealth.

Clients look to Thad as a essential resource, to know and care about every aspect of their financial lives, to work seamlessly with their other advisors, to anticipate and manage the constantly changing financial environment, and to help pursue their goals and objectives. As a qualified Senior Portfolio Manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, Thad can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing his own personalized or defined strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, model portfolios, and third-party investment strategies. When servicing clients through the firm’s Portfolio Management Program, a Portfolio Manager may manage his strategies on a discretionary basis.

Thad is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) certificant, a designation awarded by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. He also holds the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) designation. He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Active in his community, Thad makes his home in Carmel, Indiana, with his wife, Sara, and son, Luke. He is a third degree Knight of Columbus with the St. Luke’s Indianapolis Council. His hobbies include running, soccer, hiking and traveling, and rooting for the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers and all of the University of Colorado sports teams.

Scott Metzinger

Scott began his career in 2000 at Morgan Stanley, and joined Merrill Lynch in 2003 to form the Eckerle Metzinger Group. He joined UBS with the team in 2015. Scott serves as one of the team’s relationship managers, focusing on investment management and retirement income management for retirees and pre-retirees at large companies.

A well-thought-out wealth management strategy can help clients navigate through all of life’s most important events from purchasing a business to liquidating one, retirement, marriage, divorce, birth of a child, or loss of a loved one. Creating a strategy is a disciplined process that requires perspective, constant oversight and reviews.
