Jay is a proud alumnus of Allegheny College, where he earned a dual major in econometrics and political science. Growing up in Moon Township, Jay has called Sewickley home for the last 6 years and is an active member of St. James Church.

Before joining UBS two decades ago, Jay built, managed, and sold multiple successful businesses. This entrepreneurial journey instilled a deep appreciation for hard work and creative enterprise. Jay brings a wealth of real-world business experience, combining deeply-rooted values, ethics, and principles to help clients view and invest their wealth differently.

Jay’s approach centers on fostering enduring relationships, built on a firm foundation of experience and knowledge. This commitment has enabled Jay to excel as an advisor, guiding clients to grow their businesses and their family’s wealth,  always putting clients’ needs first.

Outside of work, Jay enjoys boating, fly fishing, competitive sport clays, spending time outdoors, gardening, and cherishing moments with friends and family. By far, Jay’s greatest success story is his son, Jay IV.

Jim earned his B.S. in Finance from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Before joining The Sofranko Group as a Wealth Strategy Associate, Jim spent the first part of his career with Nationwide Securities, LLC as an Investment Advisor. Jim is also a strong believer in community involvement and philanthropy. In his spare time, he is an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates, enjoys golfing and skiing, and is constantly found reading military history books.

Perry Ninness works closely with individuals and families to help them navigate important financial decisions and pursue their long-term goals. He believes that while markets and headlines change, discipline, perspective, and thoughtful decision-making remain essential to long-term financial success.

Perry's connection to the team began in 2015 when he joined John Sofranko's business as a college intern. Since then, he has built experience across wealth management, client service, and leadership within the firm. After returning to the team as a Client Service Associate, he later served as Western Pennsylvania Administrative Officer within UBS's Greater New England Market. In July 2026, Perry returned to the Sofranko Team as an Associate Financial Advisor.

A lifelong Pittsburgh-area resident, Perry grew up in the South Hills and has lived in downtown Pittsburgh for more than a decade. Outside of work, he enjoys strength training, traveling with his wife, and attending motorsports events around the world.

Andrew is an alumnus of Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania and a proud graduate of Moon Area High School. He currently resides in West Allegheny for the last 20 years with his lovely wife, Christine, and their three amazing children, Brayden, Delaney, and Emerson.

Before joining us, Andrew had a career overseeing multimillion-dollar portfolios, delivering customer experiences, and achieving above average financial results for Hilton and Marriott as a Regional Director of Sales for two decades. His extensive background includes managing teams, properties, and accounts in numerous states to maximize results for clients and investors. In fact, Andrew has had a professional relationship with our team for 20 years before joining the team to continue delivering the best possible customer experiences for our clients.

Outside of work, Andrew is an outdoor enthusiast and loves to stay active. You will often find him biking, hiking, playing sports, skiing, gardening, and enjoying the great outdoors as much as possible. He has also been actively involved in the community, coaching soccer, basketball, baseball, and softball for 15 years.
