Todd works with ultra-high net worth families, helping them to design and implement wealth strategies that reflect their values and goals. He helps families and individuals to create multi-generational structures for managing their wealth, fulfilling their philanthropic visions, and optimizing tax effects. In addition, he reviews their trust agreements and other estate planning documents to ensure that the documents align with their planning objectives.
Professional History
Before joining UBS, Todd was general counsel of Perspecta Trust. He previously was a partner in Cleveland, Waters and Bass and earlier served as president of Cambridge Trust Company of New Hampshire and a senior vice president of Cambridge Trust Company. Before that, he practiced trust and tax law with Cleveland, Waters and Bass.
Todd is the consulting editor of Private Trust Companies: A Handbook for Advisers (Globe Law and Business, forthcoming 2020). He also was a principal author of the New Hampshire Family Trust Company Act (which govern private trust companies) and the New Hampshire Foundation Act (which was the first act recognizing civil law-type foundations in the US).

Todd is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and a member of the International Bar Association’s Private Client Tax Committee.
Education
Todd earned a B.A. in economics and history from Georgetown University, a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and an LL.M. (Taxation) from the University of Florida.
