Alan Shanken is Senior Vice President in Private Wealth Management. Throughout his career, Alan has demonstrated a commitment to understanding clients' financial goals and objectives, crafting intricate solutions, and monitoring outcomes to ensure success. He is well-versed in the complexities faced by shareholders managing concentrated equity positions, whether in private or public companies, and addresses the trust and estate planning needs associated with such interests.
Alan’s focus on wealth planning also encompasses next-generation and philanthropic initiatives. Additionally, Alan has a strong foundation in investor psychology, behavioral finance, and historical market trends, enabling him to deliver comprehensive insights and strategies.
Alan began his career in 1982 (DJIA closed at 1,046.54) on the floor of the Pacific Options Exchange and transitioned into wealth management in 1984 with EF Hutton. He joined UBS in 2015, following an 18-year tenure at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse, as well as previous experience at Lehman Brothers.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Alan is passionate about philanthropy, particularly in promoting sports and fitness for individuals with physical challenges. In 2010, he became a national board member of the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) and, since 2017, has served as the founder and co-chair of the Celebration of Heart Gala, supporting CAF’s fundraising efforts in the Bay Area. He plays an instrumental role in the University of Arizona’s Adaptive Athletics Program and is a nationally recognized mentor within the adaptive athletic community. Alan is a member of the Olympic Club in San Francisco, where he enjoys golfing and open water swimming.

Adam specializes in assisting clients strategize for future monetization events and the transfer of wealth through intergenerational and estate planning. He has extensive knowledge of financial planning solutions that can be tailored to address your individual priorities and aspirations. He has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ®™designation and has also obtained the Asset Allocation Management Specialist (AAMS) and Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA) designations. Adam has assisted business owners, concentrated shareholders, and senior executives with modeling exit strategies. He also has collaborated with clients with estate and legacy planning needs to prepare the next generation for the family’s wealth.
Growing up in a military family and being a former college basketball player. Adam learned there were two constants that helped determine if you were on the path to success. Those two attributes were having a plan and discipline. Adam believes having a strategic plan helps one to stay focused in times of chaos and adversity and staying disciplined to those values and philosophies in which the foundation of the plan is built on. This will ensure that each step in the journey is in the direction to getting closer to achieving a financial goal.
Prior to joining UBS Adam was a sales professional for Marriott hotels. It was this experience where he learned the art of providing white glove service and first-class experiences to clients. Adam obtained his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bellevue University. He is currently Co-Board Chair of the Board of Directors for Compass Family services. A San Francisco based organization that assists families experiencing homelessness and those who are at risk, become stably housed and economically self-sufficient. In his spare time Adam enjoys playing basketball, golfing, reading, and traveling.

Suzette Callejo manages all operations and client relations with over 30 years of industry experience. She provides support for the team’s Financial Advisors to help clients manage wealth and achieve their financial goals. Suzette is committed to providing excellent client service drawing from a wide range of operational management experience including client onboarding, compliance, asset movements, restricted stock sales, and trading of fixed income, equity and syndicate.
Suzette studied finance at California State University, Sacramento and began her career in San Francisco in 1993 when the DJIA closed the year at 3,524. Outside of work, Suzette is a member of Team Flick, a triathlon team that competes internationally, a four-time ironman finisher (favorite race was Ironman Waco, TX), an avid skier and has traveled to 24 countries and continues explore new lands.
