Credentials
Vice President–Wealth Management
Retirement Plan Consultant
Alex Rinehart joined the Retirement Strategies Group in 2017, bringing an engineer’s discipline and problem‑solving mindset to comprehensive financial planning. A Cincinnati native, he attended St. Xavier High School before earning his Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2014. While at Ohio State, Alex served as Treasurer of the university’s chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
After graduating, Alex practiced structural engineering in Columbus, Ohio, where he was responsible for the detailed design and analysis of complex structures. This experience required precision, risk assessment, and systems‑based thinking—skills that now form the foundation of his approach to wealth management. Alex applies the same engineering principles he used in design—stress testing assumptions, planning for multiple scenarios, and building durable solutions—to helping clients navigate financial complexity.
Alex serves the team as Vice President – Wealth Management and Retirement Plan Consultant, where he develops customized financial plans, implements and manages investment solutions, and executes the team’s portfolio trading. Alex's engineering background allows him to approach wealth management with a rare combination of technical rigor, discipline process, and thoughtful analysis.
Alex holds the Series 7 and Series 66 licenses, Life and Health insurance licenses, and has earned the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®), Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®), and Certified Exit Planning Advisor® (CEPA®) designations. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional and a Notary Public in the state of Ohio.
Outside of the office, Alex enjoys mountain biking, SCUBA diving, and woodworking. He resides in Anderson with his wife, Annamarie, and their two daughters, Quinn and Rose.
