Experience

Shaun grew up in Portland and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University, double majoring in History & Government.  He later returned to Cornell to earn his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree before heading to Wall Street in New York City.  Shaun offers 22 years of experience in the investment business, beginning his career in Institutional Equity Sales at Goldman Sachs covering multi-billion-dollar hedge funds and mutual fund trading desks.  In 2011 he transitioned to working with individual investors as a financial advisor in his hometown, Portland.  His client roster includes high-net worth individuals and families, retirees, business owners, corporate executives, doctors and legal professionals.  Shaun focuses on offering a comprehensive approach that begins with understanding a client’s financial needs.  He leverages all the resources of UBS  - asset allocation, security selection, research, trading, alternative investments, private equity, lending, and planning tools – to deliver a robust, customized strategy. 

Shaun earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor ® designation through the Investments & Wealth Institute in conjunction with the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago. 

Shaun, his wife, and three daughters live in Portland, Maine.

Micah grew up in Augusta, ME and in earned his Bachelor's degree from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME, with degrees in Mathematics and Economics.

Micah joined UBS Financial Services in 2021, after 14 years as an advisor at Merrill, and 4 years as an analyst before that at Smith Barney. He is a member of the Investments & Wealth Institute, and has earned both his Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation and Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®), both awarded by the Investments & Wealth Institute™ and in conjunction with the Wharton School of Business and Booth School of Business, respectively.

Micah is Insurance licensed and experienced in designing personalized retirement analyses and creating life-long retirement income. He also is prepared to help clients anticipate and address their long term care needs.

Micah regularly evaluates investment portfolios with mixed investment vehicles such as individual stocks, individual bonds, mutual funds and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) with consideration to best interest, diversification, performance, and cost. He is a qualified Portfolio Manager who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing their own personalized strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, model portfolios, and third-party investment strategies. When servicing clients through the firm’s Investment Advisory Program, a Portfolio Manager may manage his strategies on a discretionary basis. Micah provides alternative investment opportunities to clients where appropriate. This includes precious metals, precious coins, hedge funds, currency and commodity-linked investments, and private equity.
