Jim has over 30 years experience in the accounting, financial and consulting industry. He achieved his certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – currently non-active) in Georgia while completing his Master’s Program in Taxation. Jim graduated from Emory University with a BA degree in Accounting, and Georgia State University with a Master’s in Taxation. Prior to joining UBS, Jim headed the Tax Department of C.W. Amos & Company, LLC, now part of RSM McGladrey, Inc., (11 years within the Annapolis office, and 3 years Firm wide). Jim served on numerous committees of C.W. Amos and helped structure the successful acquisition of C.W. Amos by a public company. Prior to joining C.W. Amos, Jim worked for two “Big Four” accounting firms in the tax consulting services division. Jim utilizes his past financial background and education to develop comprehensive and actionable programs encompassing all aspects of wealth management (retirement, estate, and financial planning).

Fueled by a deep interest in finance and a desire to help others, Ejner began his financial services career in 1981. He has spent the ensuing 35 plus years as an advisor to wealthy individuals and their families. Ejner believes the relationship between him and his clients is paramount. He takes an empathetic approach to the questions and concerns that accomplished individuals face.
His focus is on families, assisting with the multigenerational transfer of values as well as wealth. Ejner’s practice is based on financial planning, with a particular emphasis on charitable giving. He enjoys the chance to roll up his sleeves and solve problems for his clients, and draws on his years of institutional fixed income, trust and foundation experience to do so.
Ejner seeks to be the primary source of financial advice for his clients. He and his colleagues offer in-house investment management of portfolios that are tailored to each client’s needs. His team is committed to quality client service. They back this up by making sure someone is always available to answer clients’ questions, whether financial or otherwise.
Ejner believes that the financial advisory profession offers the greatest opportunity to help others, build real relationships and make a lasting impact in a family’s life. He is proud that his clients now include the children and grandchildren of his original clients.
His passion for finance is evident in Ejner’s activities outside the office. He has been the Chairman of the Finance Committee for Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church for 20 years. A devoted golfer, he is a current board member and past President and Chairman of the Finance Committee for Chartwell Country Club.
Ejner and his wife Nancy enjoy spending time with their four children and supporting multiple Baltimore and University of Maryland sports teams.

Sean has over 30 years experience in accounting, financial analysis and reporting. He joined UBS in 2004 and has had the roles of Financial Advisor, and Senior Portfolio Manager.
Sean's work in both public and corporate accounting / finance provides a solid foundation in dealing with the many facets of wealth and portfolio management.
Sean has worked with such companies as Coca Cola, USinternetworking, Inc. and Sylvan Education. Prior to joining UBS Financial Services, Inc., Sean worked for Sylvan Education as a Financial Manager / Controller for the Online Education Division. Prior to Sylvan, Sean spent nearly 5 years with US Internetworking, Inc as a member of the finance and accounting team responsible for consulting and product implementation analysis and reporting. He co-managed the design and implementation of key financial management systems for the company.
Sean utilizes his past financial background and education to develop comprehensive and actionable programs for investment management, wealth management, estate, and financial planning.
Sean is a graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park with a concentration in Economics and Political Science. Sean is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA – currently non-active) in Maryland.
Sean’s involvement in the community has consisted of serving as past president of the Anne Arundel County’s chapter of the American Diabetes Association. He played a pivotal role in establishing numerous fund raising programs and promoting the Association’s mission statement.

Chuck is a problem-solver. He enjoys designing solutions to the complex challenges that high net worth investors face. As a Chartered Financial Analyst®, he has the skills and knowledge to help others. As a compassionate wealth manager, he is committed to helping in the right way.
Chuck has been part of the same financial advisory team for nearly 25 years. He and his partners work closely on all aspects of their clients’ needs. They believe in the importance of planning, and use UBS’s proprietary tools to create unique and detailed financial plans. His goal is twofold: to put clients on a path to meet their financial goals, and to give them confidence.
Within the practice, Chuck’s area of focus is trading, portfolio management and research. With his institutional background, he is well-positioned to navigate the complexities of the bond market. He began his career at a large bank, where he worked in Investment Operations, then moved to the investment area of a corporate credit union.
Chuck joined Prudential Securities in 1995, and made the move to UBS in 1999. He enjoys the fact that each day is different, with new challenges to tackle—and new opportunities to seize—for his clients.
During his career, Chuck has been a member of the Chairman’s Council at UBS. He is a Past President of the Washington Association of Money Managers and is currently a member of the CFA Society of Baltimore. He earned his M.B.A. from George Washington University.
Chuck has completed numerous triathlons, including two Half Iron Man races. He enjoys golf, and is an avid sports fan.

Ryan is a family-focused Financial Advisor who enjoys working closely with multiple generations of client families. He builds strong relationships by helping clients design strategies to grow, protect and transfer their wealth. Although Ryan is an experienced wealth manager, he goes beyond the numbers to address what matters most.
Within his team of experienced advisors, Ryan is the point person for financial planning. He is passionate about his ability to create unique solutions to address clients’ needs. According to Ryan, there’s nothing like the good feeling he gets when he is able to help a client meet their goals.
After gaining experience in corporate finance, Ryan became a UBS Financial Advisor in 2005. He applies the skills he learned in his prior career, particularly in the fixed income arena, to differentiate his wealth management practice. In 2009, Ryan attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, which gave him additional training in tax management, budgeting, retirement planning, estate planning and insurance.
Ryan is committed to understanding clients’ needs and delivering advice beyond investing. Along with his team, he is always available to his clients for any questions or concerns they may have.
Ryan is deeply engaged in his Maryland community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Chesapeake Arts Center and as a member of the Anne Arundel County Estate Planning Council.
Along with his wife, Corey, and young son Royce, Ryan loves spending time outdoors, whether it’s hiking, camping or just doing yard work on a Saturday afternoon. He is a huge fan of Virginia Tech sports, particularly Hokie football.

Alec’s investment career started in high school, where he interned with his current partners James Cragg and Sean Hagerty for course credit his senior year. The internship was a success, and Alec came back to intern the following three summers. Alec attained his B.A. in Finance from Muhlenberg College in 2014, and then started his full time career at Vanguard. Alec joined Vanguard's Acceleration into Financial Leadership Program (AFP), where he rotated between Internal Audit, Corporate Finance, and Fund Operations. Upon completion of the program, Alec was promoted into Internal Audit, where he further trained his risk management skills. After three years in Internal Audit, Jim and Sean asked Alec to come back to work with them, which he did in January of 2018.
In 2019, Alec attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation, which gave him additional training in tax management, budgeting, retirement planning, estate planning and insurance. Additionally, Alec completed the UBS Wealth Management Development Program, a training program for investment professionals.
On a personal note, Alec is a fanatical Baltimore Ravens fan. Alec enjoys spending time with his wife Andrea, his daughters Jules and Finley, and their dog, Penny.

Alex is the most recent advisor to join the team after spending four years working closely with the investment and financial planning process at Vanguard. Now working alongside his father Ejner, Alex enjoys helping families and relating with the next generation to help each individual meet their financial goals.
While working at Vanguard, Alex earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designations rounding out his experience and education in investments and financial planning.
After graduating from St. Joe's and spending a total of seven years in Philly, Alex has moved back to the Baltimore area and currently resides in Locust Point, Baltimore. He enjoys golf and tennis, and is a huge Baltimore/DC sports fan.
