Experience

I joined UBS in 2007 as a Senior Vice President, following a career in the financial services industry that now spans over 31 years. I began my professional career in the commercial banking industry holding various managerial positions in both credit and marketing for over nine years. In 1982, I shifted to the wealth management sector working at various local brokerage firms. My daughter, Viviana Pérez joined me to form the Pérez Investment Group in 2007 as well. We have limited the size of our practice to ensure exceptional service is delivered since we personally meet with every one of our clients to go over their concerns and address the issues that may impact them.

We primarily focus our practice on family business, business owners and self employed professionals in particular in the medical field. We begin our client relationship by preparing diversified and balanced portfolios tailored to each client. We emphasize asset allocation financial planning and retirement income planning with a comprehensive views of the client’s portfolio. Other areas of focus are credit lines, estate planning and insurance products. I am FINRA-registered and hold Series 3, 7 and 65 securities licenses as well as insurance licenses for life, health, long-term care, variable annuities and variable life.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in economics from The University of Notre Dame, Indiana. I support various charities and organizations, in particular the “Fideicomiso de Conservación de Puerto Rico”, “Sociedad Americana del Cancer de Puerto Rico” and el “Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico”. In addition, I am member of the Palmas Athletic Club where I enjoy playing tennis and golf. I enjoy spending time with my family and self improvement motivational books.

I joined UBS as a Financial Advisor in 2007 by teaming up with my father Orlando J. Pérez to create the Pérez Investment Group, after prior tenures at an other investment firm and as a Certified Public Accountant. I have earned the designation of Wealth Advisor in 2009. This achievement represents UBS certification to address complex client needs with a comprehensive array of wealth management services. My goal is to fully understand our client’s and prospects needs and expectations in order to deliver a proactive solution approach to them.

We believe in multigenerational relationships and is very important to us to know our client’s families. We begin our client relationship by preparing diversified and balanced portfolios tailored to each client. We emphasize asset allocation financial planning and retirement income planning with a comprehensive estate planning views of the client’s portfolio. Other areas of focus are credit lines. I am FINRA-registered and hold Series 7 and 66 securities licenses as well as insurances licenses for life, health, long-term care, variable annuities and variable life.

My Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus. I am fully bilingual and completed International business courses at the American University in Washington, D.C. I am a member of the Puerto Rico Society of Certified Public Account (CPA). I enjoy spending time with my son, playing tennis, running, reading and outdoors activities.
