Executive Director
Born, raised and educated in Switzerland, Ruedi learned the trade of “private banker” in the traditional way—by first working as an apprentice in all the major departments of a bank—from securities trading and underwriting to commercial loans and mortgages. He furthered his education by attending and graduating from business school in Switzerland. At the same time, Ruedi also completed mandatory training as a soldier in the Swiss Army, finishing as First Lieutenant, and spent time in France as well as in several countries in South and Central America. This diverse background serves him well today, as he is able to serve each client with a multifaceted approach.
Ruedi and his team take a holistic approach to wealth management, analyzing a client’s entire income statement and balance sheet, addressing both assets and liabilities. As a global citizen, Ruedi strengthens client relationships through a global expertise that includes currency overlay management and risk reduction through the inclusion of foreign-listed equities and the powerful service ethic imbued during his private banking past.
A longtime board member of the Swiss Benevolent Society of New York, a charitable organization founded in 1846 as a self-help organization for Swiss immigrants, Ruedi currently serves as chairman of the scholarship committee.
Ruedi lives on Long Island with his wife and daughter. As might be expected, he is an avid skier, and fluent in English, German, French and Spanish.
