Spence, a former CPA, entered the financial services industry to use his experience to help individuals work to achieve their financial goals. He believes that comprehensive financial planning is the driver that determines how we allocate our assets, manage liabilities, and create a fortress-like balance sheet. His financial background and experience, and his dedication and focus on open architecture, which allows greater flexibility and choice among investment options and a higher degree of portfolio customization, sets him apart from other advisors. Spence works primarily with high net worth families, business owners, an corporate entities.
Spence and his wife Sue have two children, Kevin and Megan, and reside in Avon Lake, OH. He received a B.S. in accounting from Bowling Green State University.
Tim, who joined UBS in 2009, has worked in the financial services industry since 1987. His experience and his commitment to his clients set him apart from other advisors. His clients are primarily corporate executives and business owners. Tim specializes in customized asset allocation strategies, Fixed Income high net worth, tax free bonds, and lending. Tim, his wife, Sue, and their four children, Connor, Jake, Zack and Ian, live in Westlake, OH. Outside of the office, Tim enjoys coaching youth football and track, fly fishing, snowboarding and golfing. He earned a B.A. from Wake Forest University.
Rick's work with nationally recognized trust departments, global investment firms, and banking institutions since 1989 has afforded him the experience and knowledge to view his client relationships in a very holistic way. Partnering a comprehensive financial plan with the proper blend of investment assets allows him to help clients build, manage, and preserve their wealth. He works with high net worth families, closely held businesses, endowments, and foundations.
Rick believes in well-balanced portfolios based on client objectives, but his expertise in taxable and tax-free bond markets allows his clients to achieve safety with predictable cash flow.
Rick attended John Carroll University in University Heights, OH with a concentration in Economics. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Cleveland, and has served on numerous non-profit boards. Outside the office Rick enjoys fly fishing, golf, skiing, and is active in waterfowl conservation. He resides in Bay Village with his wife Jennifer. Together they have two grown children, Adam and Lydia.
Matt became a Financial Advisor so he could apply his knowledge and interest in investments and capital markets to help clients reach their goals. His dedication to staying abreast of changes in investment markets and financial products sets Matt apart from other advisors. He believes in completely understanding his clients’ needs and financial circumstances so that he can tailor a finanicla plan and investment strategy to match.
Matt works primarily with affluent families, corporate executives and small business owners. He specializes in financial planning, retirement income strategies, investment manager analysis, and portfolio management.
Outside of the office, Matt enjoys golfing, snowboarding, Crossfit, and cycling. He is a volunteer coach with the First Tee of Cleveland and sits on the Board of Trustees at Merrick House and Fairview Hospital. Matt earned at B.S. from Miami University (OH) and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management. He also earned the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) accreditation from the College for Financial Planning and Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) from the Exit Planning Institute. He resides in Bay Village with his wife Bridget and children Brynn, Layne and Wes.
Sharon started in the financial services industry at Merrill Lynch in September 1986. She also worked at Smith Barney with Tim and Matt from 2002 to 2009, prior to joining UBS.
Sharon strives to build client relationships by delivering exceptional service, provide client satisfaction through problem resolution, account opening and maintenance, research assistance, and all other service needs. She is registered with FINRA and holds the Series 7, 63, and 65 Securities Licenses.
Sharon and her husband John of 45 years live in North Olmsted, Ohio. They have two daughters, Dawn and Angie, who have blessed them with nine grandsons and three great grandchildren. Sharon enjoys golf, gardening, community arts & craft fairs, volunteering, and spending time with here family.
Jordan has been in the finance industry since 2012. He began his career in banking where he built relationships with clients and assisted with new accounts, lending, and service needs. He continued to advance his career with positions in branch leadership as well as assisting local business owners with their banking needs. He transitioned into financial planning in 2019 where he partnered with clients to build financial plans based on their preferences prior to joining the North Pointe team.
As Team Administrator, Jordan oversees and manages all the organization’s operation standards and workflow processes while also supporting the team’s advisors. He currently holds his FINRA 7, 66, 9, and 10 Securities Licenses as well as his Ohio Life and Health Insurance license. Jordan graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with his Bachelor’s in Business Administration. He currently resides in Seven Hills, Ohio with his dog Zeke. Outside of work Jordan enjoys staying active, reading, traveling, and trying different local restaurants.
