Steve, one of the team’s cofounders, actively works with MLM Partners’ clients to advise them on all facets of their financial lives. Drawing on his experience in tax and wealth planning, he helps families solve complex problems and works with them to find creative solutions to achieve their objectives. Understanding that each client relationship is unique, Steve enjoys learning about their path to wealth creation, and then assisting each family in managing wealth for generations to come.
Steve’s experience includes serving as a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where he advised ultra high net worth families. Prior to working at J.P. Morgan, as a Senior Vice President at Wachovia Bank, Steve helped create and manage the Financial and Estate Planning Group. He began his career as a CPA with Arthur Andersen in Atlanta, where he was part of the Family Wealth Planning group. Steve has also served as an adjunct professor of estate planning at Oglethorpe University.

Jeff, a cofounder of MLM Partners, acts as the team’s chief investment officer, accessing the entirety of the firm’s capabilities to help oversee investment portfolios. Working closely with the team’s roster of clients, Jeff brings his investment acumen and nearly two decades of experience in private banking and investment management to help guide and advise family offices, ultra high net worth families and successful individuals with targeted, innovative investment solutions.
Prior to joining UBS, Jeff was responsible for J.P. Morgan Private Bank’s investment practice in the Southeast. There, he oversaw a team of investment professionals who provided advice on a wide range of issues, from portfolio construction to asset allocation and manager selection.

John, who cofounded MLM Partners in 2020, takes a lead role in delivering UBS’s investment, wealth transfer, credit and philanthropic services to the team’s select roster of clients, including family offices and ultra high net worth families and individuals. One of the team’s senior partners, he is passionate about providing customized guidance to clients and helping them pursue their most important goals. John works to provide solutions to the complex issues that often accompany substantial wealth, from delivering holistic balance sheet management to helping families make thoughtful generational decisions.
John brings decades of experience advising wealthy multigenerational families, individuals and institutions. Prior to joining UBS, John was a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Private Bank’s Atlanta office. Previously, he held senior positions at Meritage Capital, HomrichBerg, Atlantic Trust and Furman Selz. Before he entered the financial services industry, he operated a private entity.

Tom is a seasoned financial advisor with over a decade of experience in wealth management who joined MLM Partners in early 2024 from J.P. Morgan’s Private Bank. With a dedication to providing tailored financial solutions, Tom has established himself as a trusted advisor among high net worth individuals seeking to grow and protect their wealth.
Tom began his career in wealth management at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where he honed his expertise in the industry and cultivated long-lasting relationships with his clients. Over the course of ten years, he demonstrated a proven track record of delivering personalized financial plans that align with his clients' unique goals and aspirations. Prior to J.P. Morgan Tom worked for SunTrust Robinson Humphrey in Atlanta. During his time with SunTrust he served as a credit associate for the firm’s Interest Rate and Foreign Exchange Marketing Group within their Capital Markets Division.

As a Relationship Manager for MLM Partners, Mary is instrumental in helping deliver customized wealth solutions to the team’s clients, who consist primarily of ultra high net worth individuals, families and family offices. She enjoys building relationships with each client and learning more about their family, unique values and aspirations for their wealth. She prides herself on acting as a chief operating officer, ensuring that all client needs are met and seamlessly executed.
Prior roles at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Atlanta and as a Senior Client Advisor at SCS Financial, a multifamily office in Boston, provided Mary with valuable experience working with family offices and successful individuals, advising them on topics including investments, banking, fiduciary and estate services.

His focuses on providing advice on portfolio construction, asset allocation and manager selection across public and private markets, ensuring clients receive investment solutions that are comprehensive, yet well aligned with their specific needs and goals.
Prior to joining UBS in 2020, John spent three years at J.P.Morgan’s Private Bank in Atlanta, where he gained exposure to a range of financial planning strategies, as well as experience advising ultra high net worth clients in investment, banking, fiduciary and estate planning issues. In his current role, he enjoys working with multigenerational families to provide tailored solutions and help educate and inform the next generation.

Drawing on a decade of experience in client-facing roles in financial services, Thays strives to make a positive impact in the lives of clients and their families. She helps connect like-minded clients, so that they can share best practices and network.
When she started working in financial services 10 years ago, Thays gravitated towards client services and found that being part of a wealth management team proved a perfect fit. Furthermore, her early career experience as an executive assistant has provided her with invaluable organizational and interpersonal skills, which she uses every day.

As a Client Associate for MLM Partners, Jack is responsible for providing analytical and operational support to our team to make certain that our client’s goals and objectives are met. Jack’s primary focus is to connect with our clients and offer his assistance when necessary to enhance the client experience.
Before joining MLM Partners, Jack completed two internships as a Summer Analyst at Green Square Wealth Management in Memphis, TN, where he supported high net worth clients and their advisors. Through this experience, Jack gained valuable skills and knowledge around advising clients on all aspects of the financial spectrum: investing, banking, lending, and estate planning.
