With more than three decades of financial services experience, Laura takes great pride in supporting the complex needs of existing clients. She is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of customized investment portfolios.

Laura began her career with Merrill Lynch in 1979 and transitioned to UBS in 2009. She holds the Series 7 and 63 securities licenses.

Outside of work, Laura volunteers her time to animal rescue efforts, especially finding homes for rescued dogs. Laura has two children, Sam (Barrie) and Molly and is a new Grandma to Charlie. She enjoys spending time with her family and her two rescue dogs.

As a Client Service Associate, Maria brings 20 years of financial services experience to the team. She is responsible for providing world-class service for all client inquiries and service-related needs. In addition, Maria manages all aspects of account administration, including operational support.

Maria started her career in 1999 as a Client Service Associate with the UBS Chicago office. She transitioned to the UBS Austin office in 2009 where she worked in operations before joining the Meece – Barr Group in 2016.

Maria’s free time is centered around her family and the community. She serves as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and supports her active daughter in all of her activities.

With more than 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, Ray has helped clients navigate through every type of market cycle, confidently serving the needs of successful families, corporate executives and business owners. He joined UBS in 2009 and subsequently co-founded the Meece – Barr Group. Prior to joining UBS, Ray spent 26 years advising clients of Merrill Lynch on portfolio management and financial planning.

As a Senior Portfolio Manager as well as a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor, Ray has extensive experience in financial planning and advises his clients through discretionary investment management. His trusted guidance is especially valued during challenging and volatile financial times.

Outside of work

Austin State University Alumni Association. In his free time, Ray enjoys traveling, golf, reading about history, watching movies and staying active. He considers himself a student of motion picture film and documentaries, balancing this hobby with a rigorous pursuit of physical fitness.
