Eric Thompson graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1980 with a degree in Economics and began his career as a Financial Advisor with Legg Mason. In 1991, he was recruited to Kidder Peabody as the Area Manager. During his tenure Eric developed and implemented an initiative for managing client assets in a consultative model. After Kidder was acquired by PaineWebber, Eric returned to caring for clients as a Financial Advisor. Since 1994 he has been managing assets for corporations, endowments, foundations, pensions and high net worth individuals. He is a Corporate Vice President and a certified portfolio manager. In 2009 he earned the additional designation of Wealth Advisor.
Eric has been married to Janet for 31 years and is the proud father of three sons. He has been active in the community serving on the boards of the Virginia Arts Festival, Business Consortium for the Arts, Rotary Club, Jackson-Field Homes, Summit Christian Academy, Smithfield Educational Foundation, Boy Scouts of America and his local church. He has lead youth group missions to Haiti for the past few years.

Anita Hairston is a Senior Registered Client Service Associate who began her career with the firm in 1998. With over two decades of experience, she also serves as the CSA Coach for the Norfolk branch, where she helps keep her peers informed on the latest technology updates and procedural changes. Anita values her role because it allows her to build long-lasting and meaningful relationships with clients.
Originally from Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Anita earned her degree in Computer Science from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro. She now lives in Virginia Beach with her husband, Jerry. Their two children, Julia and Jerry Jr., both attend Old Dominion University—Julia is studying Computer Science, and Jerry Jr. is pursuing Mechanical Engineering. Outside of work, Anita enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, staying active through workouts, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.
