Entrepreneurship has been a long-standing narrative and legacy of my family. My father, both grandfathers, uncles, brother, sister and brother-in-law have all owned successful businesses. My father built three different businesses during my childhood and exposed me to the struggle for a business to gain momentum, the responsibilities that come with growth, and both the opportunities and difficulties that can come from a business transition. I strive to make an impact on our clients' lives by pulling from these lessons learned from my experience and applying them as we develop a personalized financial plan.
Born and raised in the Kansas City area, I graduated with my Bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas and moved to the desert of Arizona to pursue my MBA. After graduating, I began my career in a role where I was responsible for creating and interpreting data-driven reports then translating them into actionable plans. Home would always be Kansas City, so I headed back to Kansas City in 2016, serving as a director for a national facilities maintenance company. In that role, I was responsible for ensuring our business partners, mostly small business owners, were being utilized appropriately and ensuring our goals were aligned. Moving to the financial industry was an intentional decision, realizing that the most fulfilling parts of my career thus far had been witnessing the growth and success of the partners I had worked with closely. My hope is that I can have a similar impact on clients' lives as we set goals and plan for the future.
Outside of my career, you'll typically find me on the water bass fishing or training for my next big race. Finishing top-10 at the US Track and Field Championships in 2018, running continues to play a big part in my daily life. With the support of my wife, Rachael, I continue to train for even greater goals in the upcoming years.
