offering financial advice
Many clients I work with reach a point where their finances stop being “just a portfolio” and become a complex balance sheet—equity compensation, concentrated stock, private investments, multiple entities, and multigenerational goals that don’t fit neatly into a model portfolio. Others have simpler situations but want more sophisticated access to alternatives, structures, and tax‑aware strategies.
How I help clients
I help clients design and oversee an institutional‑style investment strategy across public and private markets, with explicit attention to risk, liquidity, and long‑term after‑tax outcomes—while coordinating investment decisions with tax, estate, lending, and philanthropic considerations across their broader financial life.
Clients often value having a calm, technically fluent partner who explains tradeoffs clearly, anticipates issues early, and helps establish a durable framework for decision‑making across market cycles.
My role at UBS
I advise senior executives, business owners, and families on investment strategy and balance‑sheet oversight, ranging from relatively straightforward situations to those involving increasingly complex financial decisions.
Portfolio decisions are guided by a strategic, risk‑aware framework and scaled to each client’s objectives, constraints, and broader balance sheet—rather than relying on model portfolios. I work with clients to establish clear expectations around portfolio behavior across market cycles, supporting informed decision‑making during periods of volatility.
I lead and coordinate UBS specialists across portfolio management, financial planning, trust and estate planning, banking and lending, insurance, philanthropy, and family office services, while working closely with clients’ outside tax and legal advisors so portfolios, entities, and plans function as a coherent whole.
Background and perspective
I began my career as an engineer, before working on derivatives and structured products trading desks globally and then spending over a decade at the World Bank Group helping manage and optimize IFC’s $75 billion balance sheet. I later founded a quantitative investment advisory serving high‑ and ultra‑high‑net‑worth families.
That institutional background now informs how I advise private clients at UBS—bringing structure, discipline, and clear decision‑making to complex wealth.
I work closely with a small group of experienced partners and two dedicated client service associates. This structure allows me to remain directly involved in all key decisions while ensuring continuity, responsiveness, and day‑to‑day execution are handled with care and consistency.
If this approach resonates, I welcome the opportunity to connect.
Financial Advisor
I work closely with clients as their financial priorities evolve over time, often helping bring clarity and perspective to important decisions. My role is typically to stay directly involved, explain trade‑offs clearly, and support thoughtful decision‑making during periods of change or uncertainty.
Clients often describe my style as calm, analytical, and straightforward. I value long‑term relationships and an advisory process built on trust, continuity, and disciplined judgment.
Outside of work, I value time with family and staying active.
