Kirk attended the University of Florida where he received dual degrees in both Finance and Marketing. Kirk has also completed the Harvard University Executive Continuing Education program.
He began his career with UBS Financial Services in August of 2015, and was previously employed by Merrill Lynch from 1994 until August. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Kirk held positions in commercial and corporate finance, mergers and acquisition financing, treasury management services and asset-based lending with NCNB National Bank, the predecessor to Bank of America. As the senior partner of Ruth, Hogue and Associates, Kirk oversees general investment direction and asset allocation decisions. Kirk serves as the primary resource for institutional asset management and consulting, as well as the oversight into micro and macro-economic issues that influence the team's overall investment policy and direction. He is experienced in developing estate planning solutions as well as wealth management and retirement income planning.
Kirk is recognized as a leader in the industry and has been invited to participate in numerous firm-wide and industry-wide conferences focusing on investment management and estate planning issues. In 2018 Kirk received the Community Foundation for North Central Florida Legacy Award. This prestigious award recognized Kirk as the Financial Professional of the Year for his excellence in the industry and in the community.
Kirk has many years of active involvement in the community having served on the Advisory Board of the Florida Museum of Natural History, Board of the Alachua County Library District Foundation, Board of Trustees of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, as well as serving as past Chairman of Ducks Unlimited.
