Andrea began her financial services career at a time of record high interest rates, and for the past three decades has been guiding clients through the myriad of market cycles. As founding member of the Nordell-Rubio Team, she is committed to principal preservation and growth. Strategic and tactical methodologies are employed to create and manage her clients’ customized portfolios based on their current circumstances and future goals.
She joined the former Paine Webber, predecessor to UBS, in 1988 after eight years as a vice president in the Washington, DC office Wheat, First Securities, Inc. Her expertise includes designing plans that incorporate estate planning and wealth transfer strategies, income generation, tax efficiency, philanthropy and education funding using the full resources of UBS. In addition to individuals, she works with companies on their retirement plans.
Andrea has multi-decade knowledge of the tech heavy Israeli market as an advisor to clients with that specific investment requirement.
Andrea holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the City University of New York, and a master’s degree in Political History from Goddard College, Cambridge, MA. She is a member of professional and service organizations including Hadassah and The Galen Society of The Virginia Hospital Center.
Andrea has been selected to serve as a panelist for the New York Stock Exchange disciplinary hearings, an appointment she has held for the past 25 years.
She and her family live in Arlington, VA.
