For the last 30 years, John has helped clients prepare for their financial futures. Having worked in the entertainment business developing films and TV shows early in his career, John has a deep understanding of the unique financial planning challenges faced by sports and entertainment professionals. His comprehensive wealth management approach focuses on longevity planning, wealth transfer strategies and life-transition planning. He collaborates closely with each client’s business management and accounting team to support estate planning, insurance needs, cash flow and liquidity challenges, and investment education initiatives.
John started his career at Shearson Lehman Brothers in 1993, and he has subsequently earned the Certified Investment Management ConsultantSM® and UBS Wealth Advisor designations. He also holds the firm’s Athletes and Entertainers Consultant designation, which recognizes his experience providing holistic financial advice to clients across the sports and entertainment industries. In addition, John has earned the Series 7, 31, 63 and 65 securities licenses, as well as Life and Health Insurance licenses. He received his M.F.A. from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan.
John has a passion for making a difference in the community, both personally and professionally. He is a member of the Motion Picture & Television Fund Professional Advisory Network and the Investments & Wealth Institute. He also volunteers at weSPARK Cancer Support Center and Jewish Big Brothers. When he’s not at the office, John enjoys spending time with his children.

Mr. Michael Gordon graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in English and has worked in nonprofits before turning to the world of finance in 2021. He utilizes his communication and interpersonal skills through a stewardship model approach to provide excellent service to all clients and their accounts in any task. As a Registered Client Service Associate, he is devoted to the client service model here at UBS and our culture of professional development mixed with personal growth.
Michael lives in Sherman Oaks and spends his free time cooking, hiking, and birdwatching with his wife Tania and their two dogs Toby and Marbles.
