Tim is a founding Partner of the Cornerstone Group at UBS Financial Services Inc. He begain his career in the financial services industry in 1991, specializing in retirement plan consulting and investment advisory services for qualified retirement plans. Originally from Green Bay, Wisconsin, (yes he is an avid Packer fan), Tim holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. After service as an Officer in the US Army’s 82nd Airborne, he began his career with Cooper’s & Lybrand, now Price Waterhouse Coopers before joining Smith Barney as a Financial Advisor. Tim’s earned the Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist (CRPS®) designation and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designation through the Center for Fiduciary Studies. A recognized industry leader, he's frequently asked to speak at various events, providing his unique perspective on how individuals can create a fulfilling roadmap for their financial future. A former board member of the Busy Street Children’s Museum, Tim now spends time as treasurer of the non-profit organization Farmer FoodShare that seeks to connect local farmers with the food insecure population in central North Carolina. He lives in Durham, NC and has two daughters, Marisa (1998) and Alexandra (2001).

Steve joined The Cornerstone Group at UBS in 2015, bringing 14 years of experience to the team. He began his financial services career in 2001 as a licensed banker with First Union, and through corporate mergers, became a Financial Advisor with Wachovia Securities, later Wells Fargo Advisors, in 2008. Steve received his Chartered Retirement Plan Counselor (CRPC) designation in 2009, exhibiting his abilities and expertise in all facets of financial well being.
A native of Canton, IL., Steve received his B.S. in History from Bradley University. During his studies at Bradley, he also spent a semester abroad at Stockholm University in Stockholm Sweden. Steve and his wife, Shelby, moved to Durham in late 2000 when Shelby accepted a position in the School of Medicine at Duke University, a position which she still holds. Steve and Shelby are busy with the sporting activities of their 2 kids, Olivia (2002) and Nicklaus (2005).

Heather joined The Cornerstone Group at UBS in 2018 and has been in the financial services industry since 2014. She has continued to expand her knowledge base and has accomplished getting various licenses. Heather holds Series 7 and 63, life insurance, long-term care insurance licenses, and is a NC Notary Public. She manages all aspects of the teams operations and works directly with clients handling all of their administrative needs. When not at the office, Heather enjoys traveling and spending time at the coast with her husband Chris and son Asher (2017).
