In 1994, he earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst designation and subsequently served on the CFA Institute's Board of Governors (2003-2006). He received his BA - Business Administration and MBA from California State University, Northridge. Additionally, he served as co-director for the USC/CFALA CFA review program for 5 years where he taught classes in ethics and professional conduct, financial statement analysis and equity security analysis. Jim is also a past-President of the CFA Society of Los Angeles.
