Jim has over 25 years experience in finance and portfolio management. In 1994, he earned the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst designation and subsequently served on the CFA Institute's Board of Governors (2003-2006). He received his BA - Business Administration and MBA from California State University, Northridge. Additionally, he served as co-director for the USC/CFALA CFA review program for 5 years where he taught classes in ethics and professional conduct, financial statement analysis and equity security analysis. Jim is also a past-President of the CFA Society of Los Angeles.
