Erik Holton

Senior Vice President–Wealth Management

Erik Holton began his career in financial services in 1995.  He is one of a small number of UBS Financial Advisors who have earned the designation of “Wealth Advisor” As a Wealth Advisor he works exclusively with affluent clients, designing customized strategies and offerings that address their complex needs and long-term vision. Erik purposely limits his service to a select group of clients who can most benefit from UBS' global resources and combining the proven access of a leading financial institution with the intimate and customized approach of a boutique

Erik has significant experience in working with entrepreneurs, business owners, C-suite executives and affluent families about a range of issues.  Typically, these clients have come to a crossroad in their wealth.  Clients' needs range from pre-and-post IPO strategies, concentrated and restricted stock management, mergers, private sales and wealth transfer strategies. They anticipate a liquidity event, are dealing with new-found wealth, or simply realize that they do not have the time or knowledge to handle the intricacies of affluence.  

He relishes the opportunity to help clients at these critical times, laying out a deliberate and cohesive framework for successive years. Clients often come to him after benefitting from solid planning by external tax and legal advisors. However, they need help in moving beyond planning to implementation. He is particularly skilled in making that connection. Erik recognizes that strategy is an essential underpinning of his team's work.  However, he pairs that foundation with deliberate follow-through.  He understands the importance of doing things the right way the first time.

Erik is eminently qualified to provide highly personalized wealth management services to his clients. He earned a B.S, in Accounting from Northeastern University. He holds the Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses and is a Corporate Stock Benefit Consultant through the Corporate Employee Financial Services division of the firm (CEFS). Prior to joining UBS in 2005, Erik spent four years as a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley and six years at Tucker Anthony.

Erik splits his time between the Boston and New Haven Office.  He resides in North Haven, CT with his wife Megan and three daughters. His family has a passion for dogs.  Erik enjoys helping his wife who owns a successful dog daycare and boarding facility.  He also enjoys skiing, golf and travel with his family.

As a CFP® professional, Matt believes in a purpose-based wealth management philosophy. He works with high-net-worth individuals and families implementing goals-based portfolio and financial planning strategies. Matt is meticulous in his planning. He frequently adjusts plans to account for market dynamics and life changes, maintaining ongoing communication with his clients to ensure their wealth management strategy is always tailored to their current goals, ambitions and purpose.

Matt provides clients and their families with access to an ecosystem of resources and solutions that help bring clarity to their financial decision making process. Rather than a one size fits all model Matt develops customized service, investment, and planning solutions for each of his relationships.

In coordination with your other tax and estate advisors he manages every aspect of your financial life so that you can focus on what matters most. Matt is committed to delivering for his clients, helping them achieve their vision of a purposeful life is what drives him to be a better professional.

Community & Interests

Matt is a lifelong resident of Cape Cod. Having lived in both the North End and South Boston for a time, he moved back to the Cape in 2018.

Outside of the office Matt enjoys volunteering his time, playing golf, and visiting his favorite local restaurants. Both Matt and Lindsey are actively involved in their local community, donating their time to many charitable causes. Matt currently sits on the Board of Directors and serves as Treasurer of a local land trust on Cape.

Matt and Lindsey enjoy experiencing new cultures through travel. Their other passions include cooking and boating. During the summer months they can be found relaxing with family, friends, and a book on one of the many local beaches or out on water with their dog Malfy.
