Chuck is the senior partner at Hartlieb & Chleborad, responsible for strategic leadership of the team’s advisory services. With more than 22 years of industry experience, he is a trusted advisor to high-net-worth households across the country. Chuck’s expertise includes portfolio management, advising multigenerational families, and aligning his clients’ investments with their tax and estate plans. More importantly, his greatest passion is building lasting relationships with clients.

With a deep understanding of his client’s goals in mind, Chuck creates solutions that help his clients achieve their financial dreams and secure their legacies. He directs the team’s discretionary asset management platform to mitigate risk and capitalize on investment opportunities. Chuck is committed to the highest standard of care and has been a consistent presence for his clients throughout their financial lives.

He obtained a BA in Finance from the University of Iowa. While in college, Chuck was named the Honda National Scholar Athlete of the Year in 1988. He and his wife, Libby, reside in Clive, Iowa where they raised four children. When he’s not serving clients, you’ll find him happily chasing after his two grandchildren.

Bob is a partner and Senior Vice President of Wealth Management for the Hartlieb & Chleborad team at UBS. He is a Retirement Plan Consultant, a UBS Institutional Consultant, and a Senior Portfolio Manager.  With expertise in investment analysis, Bob specializes in constructing portfolios that are custom-tailored to meet his clients’ needs.

He began his investment career in 1994 and has been with UBS since 2011. With first-hand experience through several market cycles, Bob understands the important roles that cash-flow planning and asset location play in securing your financial legacy. He has worked with multigenerational high-net-worth families, as well as foundations, endowments, and other institutional investors. Bob is also versed in estate planning, retirement planning, and charitable giving.

Bob obtained a BBA in Finance from Iowa State University. In addition, he received his MBA from Drake University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA charterholder).

Bob and his wife, Martha, reside in the Des Moines area. He enjoys keeping up with his three children, as well as tennis, pickleball, cooking, and traveling. Bob is involved in the community and his church, currently serving on the St. Pius Finance Council.

James joined the Hartlieb & Chleborad team in 2024. His responsibilities include financial planning, portfolio construction, and business development. James is a passionate investment professional who enjoys helping his clients draft and execute their winning financial strategy.

He began his finance career in 2017. James most recently worked at a large institutional manager where he helped oversee a portfolio of alternative investments. He is experienced in complex portfolio construction and private investment origination.

James graduated cum laude from the University of Iowa with a BS in Political Science. At Iowa he was voted Captain of the football team and awarded the Big Ten Medal of Honor. In addition, he received his MBA and Master of Finance degrees from Indiana University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA charterholder).

He lives in rural Madison County, Iowa with his wife, Taylor, and their two young children. When he’s not working, James enjoys reading and spending time with his family outdoors. He currently serves as a board member for the Madison County Foundation for Environmental Education (MCFEE).

Wynn is a Senior Registered Client Service Associate with Hartlieb & Chleborad. Her responsibilities include all operational aspects of the client relationship. She started her finance career in 1996. With more than 28 years of client-service experience, Wynn understands that operational excellence is a crucial pillar in successful wealth planning.

Wynn obtained a bachelors degree in Spanish and French from the University of Illinois and holds a degree in court reporting from the American Institute of Business. She has passed FINRA series 7, 63, and 66 exams.

Wynn lives in West Des Moines, Iowa. She is a proud “favorite” aunt to her six nieces and nephews. When she’s not at work, you’ll find Wynn on the golf course with her friends, at home cooking a new recipe, or volunteering in the community. Wynn is a repeat volunteer for the Principal Charity Classic, John Deere Classic, Mentor Iowa, and Des Moines Art Festival.

As the Team Administrator for Hartlieb & Chleborad, Ashley is a standard-bearer for the firm’s commitment to client service. From account maintenance to cash flow management, she ensures the team delivers on its pledge to clients.

Ashley began her career in financial services in 2005. She graduated from Des Moines Area Community College with a degree in Business Administration and has passed FINRA series 7, 63, and 65 exams.

Ashley and her husband, Steve, live in Warren County, Iowa with their two children. Outside of work she stays busy with her kid’s activities. Ashley enjoys the outdoors and traveling to visit extended family.
