As a Private Wealth Advisor and Senior Portfolio Manager, John researches and runs the team’s investment committee. Through his extensive training with the Sudden Money Institute, John works with clients and their families in managing a wide range of wealth and life transitions.
Prior to joining the firm in 2002, John worked at Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown for eight years. Previously, John ran the diplomat and embassy division for NationsBank in Washington, DC. He also worked overseas in London and Singapore for a predecessor of Bank of America. John is Chairman of the Rosarian Academy Charitable Trust endowment. John is also a board director at the Cathleen McFarlane Foundation. John earned his B.A. from Towson University and his CIMA® (Certified Investment Management Analyst®) designation from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He resides with his wife and two children in Wellington.

With his extensive wealth management experience, Ned Lubell, Private Wealth Advisor, works closely with our clients on advanced planning strategies and importantly, he is responsible for tackling the complex family/business issues that many clients face from time to time. As a member of the team’s investment committee, he keeps a close watch on our investment strategy and how it is implemented in client portfolios.
Ned joined the firm in 2002 after nine years at Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown. Previously, he led the development and financing of real estate projects for Trammell Crow and Winthrop Financial Associates, and worked in the mergers and acquisitions group at Morgan Stanley. Ned earned his M.B.A. with distinction from the Harvard Business School and his B.A. in political economy from Williams College. Since 1998, he has been on the board of Quantum House (St. Mary’s Medical Center). He resides in Boca Raton with his wife and has two children.

Sara joined the team in 2005. For the previous seven years, she was an Account Vice President on a financial advisor team in the firm’s Hartford, CT, office. Sara coordinates service offerings for new clients, helps design client wealth plans, quarterbacks mortgages and credit lines, and explains and processes life and long-term care insurance policies. Sara received a B.A. in economics from Trinity College in Hartford, where she was class salutatorian. She is married and has two sons.

Senior Wealth Strategy Associate
Patrick joined our Team in 2022 as a Relationship Manager—Director. He worked for the past 5 years on a team at JP Morgan and before that, for 6 years at UBS in Palm Beach. Before his time in Florida, he was part of the inaugural office of Morgan Stanley’s private wealth management office in Atlanta and grew the team into a successful practice.
Patrick has over 20 years of extensive wealth management experience. He is a graduate of Loyola University in Maryland with a BBA in Business Management and holds an MBA from Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta. Patrick and his wife live in Jupiter with their three children. He volunteers his time with Best Buddies International and Knights of Columbus.
Team Administrator
Mellessa joined UBS in 2012 with more than 20 years of industry experience. Previously, she was with SunTrust. Mellessa holds the Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, and oversees operational and client service-related support. She earned her B.A. in organizational management from Palm Beach Atlantic University.
Registered Client Associate
Luke joined the team in 2024. Prior to UBS he worked for an independent RIA in West Palm Beach for 3 years where he helped with operations and investment research. Luke holds the Series 66 and 7 licenses and is a registered client service associate. He will help Mellessa with client related support, administration and operations. In addition, he will work closely with John on investment research and operations for managed portfolios. Luke received his B.A. in finance from Palm Beach Atlantic University, and resides in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
