Financial Advisor
Eric joined UBS as a Managing Director – Wealth Management, having most recently served as a Managing Director and Senior Banker at J.P. Morgan Chase. At UBS, Eric will continue to advise CEOs, founders, and ultra high net worth families and organizations in New York, just as he has since 2010. Eric and his team are responsible for all aspects of the client relationship, including strategic advice, investments, banking, risk management and succession planning strategies.
Before becoming an important member of the NYC business community, Eric was elected to serve in the New York City Council, representing Queens from 2002-2009. As a Councilman, he chaired the Committee on Oversight & Investigations, conducting more than 50 inquiries that helped the passage of important laws and increasing government accountability. Prior to his service as a Councilman, Eric served in the White House as a law clerk to the Deputy White House Counsel and practiced law at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy.
Apart from UBS, Eric is an adjunct professor at the NYU College of Arts and Sciences and CUNY’s Macauley Honors College. For ten years, he has taught seminars on public policy and the future of New York. He previously served on the boards of MoMA PSI, the Museum of the Moving Image and Chess in the Schools. Now, he serves as a trustee of the Marymount School of NY and on the board of the Queens Library Foundation.
Eric is a graduate of NYU and Georgetown University Law Center. He lives with his wife, Lisa Hernandez Gioia, and their four children in New York City. Eric is an avid marathoner and has embarked on a quest to run a marathon on all seven continents.

Throughout his 20-year career, Allen has worked with institutional investors globally and participated in all facets of financial services, including transactional planning, investment and risk management, legal and operations.
As a founding partner of the UBS Foundations Investment Group, Allen brings invaluable perspective the team’s relationships with endowment and foundation clients. Accessing the diverse philanthropic and institutional resources of UBS, the Group helps identify investment strategies designed to minimize risk while maintaining a keen awareness of each organization’s vision and mission.
Allen holds a bachelor's of science in finance from Babson College and is a graduate of the OPM program at the Harvard Business School. He holds series 7 and 66 licenses.

Angela is a Financial Advisor in the Private Wealth Management division of UBS. With her extensive career as an investment professional, Angela aims to deliver the entirety of the firm with a focus on overseeing the investment portfolios of her clients. Angela joined UBS from J.P. Morgan Private Bank, where she served most recently as a Managing Director and Global Investment Specialist. She also led the Northern California Private Bank Healthcare team/group that worked with advising private and public company executives in pre-transaction planning, equity compensation and investment strategies. Angela has over 20 years of global capital markets and investment management experience. She holds a B.S. from California State University, Stanislaus where she was a four-year starter on the women’s basketball team.

JT is a Financial Advisor in the Private Wealth Management division of UBS. In this role, he is responsible for delivering the firm’s investing, wealth transfer, credit and philanthropic services to ultra-high-net-worth clients and family offices across the country. He has had an extensive career in the financial services industry advising ultra-high net worth individuals, families, family offices and institutions. Prior to UBS, JT was at J.P. Morgan, where he served as a Managing Director and head of the firm’s Northern California Technology Team/Group that worked in advising private and public company executives in pre-transaction planning, equity compensation and investment strategies. JT worked at Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers and Arthur Andersen, before joining J.P. Morgan Private Bank in 2010. JT holds an M.B.A. from the Berkeley-Colombia Executive M.B.A. Program and a B.S. from Miami University. He earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation in 2001. JT currently serves as a member of the Investment Committee at Gateway Charter School in San Francisco.

Sean is a Financial Advisor in the Private Wealth Management division of UBS. Sean worked at PIMCO in Newport Beach, London and Munich before joining J.P. Morgan Private Bank in 2009. He holds an M.B.A. from London Business School and a B.A. from the University of California, Irvine. Sean is active in his local community and has served on various non-profit boards, including the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, New Conservatory Theatre and Friends of the Children.

Orly is a Senior Vice President at UBS Wealth Management and has served her clients as a private banker since 2010. She takes pride in forming close relationships with her clients, enabling her to develop a deep understanding of their financial needs and desires. This allows her to work with her clients in order to develop a strategy for the present as well as the future.
Orly advises business owners and entrepreneurs, corporate executives, families, endowments and philanthropic organizations. She utilizes her relationships and experience to counsel clients on customized investment portfolios, credit and liquidity needs, trust and estate
planning, and cash management solutions.
Orly holds a bachelor’s of business administration degree from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, her Series 7, 63 and 66 licenses, as well as life and health insurance licenses. Prior to joining UBS, Orly spent more than a decade as an advisor in JPMorgan’s Private Bank. An active member of her community, Orly and her husband, Justin, live on the Upper East Side of Manhattan with their sons, Adam and Aaron.

Over his career, Tim has served as a Portfolio Manager and Institutional Consultant to global endowments, non-profit organizations, and prominent philanthropic families, helping them formulate and execute tailored investment strategies. Tim advises clients on a wide range of investment related matters including, but not limited to, trade idea generation and execution, aggregation and due diligence of fund manager research, and the implementing of tactical solutions across discretionary portfolios spanning traditional and alternative asset classes.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati.

Eric started his career with UBS in 2019 through various internships. Eric spent half a decade within the UBS Wealth Advice Center where he delivered wholistic financial planning and bespoke financial advice to numerous individuals and businesses. Eric holds his Series 7, 66, 9, and 10 licenses as well as life and health insurance licenses. Eric has accomplished becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and undergone rigorous trainings across a broad array of financial themes.
While a native New Yorker, Eric holds a B.S. from Centre College in Kentucky with a dual concentration in Economics and Finances as well as International Studies. Eric is a zealous sports fan and enjoys rooting for an underdog. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, traveling, giving back in the community and staying active.

Nelson joined UBS Private Wealth Management as a Wealth Strategy Associate in 2021. Prior to joining UBS, Nelson served as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch and as a commercial real estate broker with Marcus & Millichap. Nelson graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He currently holds his AWMA® certification for advising high-net worth individuals with diversified portfolio allocations and tax mitigation strategies. His free time is spent with various Bay Area nonprofits such as St. Jude and Shifting Gears.

Benjamin joined the Families & Foundations Investment Group in 2022 from Xavier University’s Williams College of Business where he studied Finance & Accounting.
Benjamin works closely with the team’s clients in a wide range of relationship related matters including, operations, financial planning, investment research, and asset allocation modeling.
Benjamin is a diehard sports fan and enjoys rooting for the Cincinnati Bengals, Reds, and of course Xavier University basketball. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, watching sports, and giving back to the community as the Vice President of the Cincinnati Salvation Army’s Young Professional board. He is a native of Northern Kentucky and current lives in Ft. Wright. He holds the series 7 and 66 licenses.

Justin is a graduate of Seton Hall University with a double major in Finance and Information Technology. He currently resides in the upper east side of Manhattan.

Ryan is a Client Service Associate at UBS Private Wealth Management, where he assists the Vallis Advisors team in all facets operational, from client communications to account onboarding and administration. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Boston College and a Master of International Relations from the Universidad CEU San Pablo in Madrid, where he taught English for multiple years and developed Spanish fluency. Ryan is currently pursuing the CFA Charter and securities industry licenses. A San Francisco native, he enjoys surfing at Ocean Beach and exploring new restaurants in the Mission district.

Tony is a Client Service Associate and brings over 25 years’ experience providing exceptional service to clients in the wealth management and financial services industries. In his role, he focuses on supporting the team’s client relationships and operational responsibilities. Prior to joining UBS Private Wealth Management, he held similar roles at Merrill Lynch, Hambrecht & Quist, JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, and Credit Suisse. He is a Bay Area native and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, traveling, fitness-related activities, playing the trumpet and piano, and spending quality time with family and friends.
