Senior Vice President–Wealth Management
George has over 35 years of experience specifically in investment management working as both a portfolio manager and senior wealth advisor. He started his career at Dreyfus and quickly rose to a management position in their UHNW group, Dreyfus Direct. From there he moved on to an Officer position at The First National Bank of Boston Trust & Investment Division. Based on his continued success in Boston he was recruited back to New York by a private investment management firm, American Asset Management, where he worked closely with global clients and managed portfolios. He later joined Haven Capital Management - a Goldman Sachs spin-off in a similar senior capacity working with institutional and individual clients. George was subsequently recruited by State Street Global Advisors for a senior role as a Principal in their NY office. After 20 years on the “buy side” in investment management, George decided he enjoyed his work with individual investors and their families most and joined Bernstein Global Wealth Management where he was a Principal and Senior Advisor for almost a decade. As the financial industry changed and evolved post 2008, it became very clear that many of his clients were outgrowing the Bernstein proprietary platform and he needed a broader global platform to provide a more comprehensive objective solution to his valued client relationships. In 2010 he joined Barclays Wealth Management as a Director and continued to serve UHNW clients including most of his Bernstein clients who are with him at UBS today. Eventually, Barclays made the decision to exit the wealth business and George and his partners decided to find a world class broad platform with global resources that was a better fit for the approach he believes serves client interests best. He joined UBS in early 2015 with his current team and business partners. George received a B.S. degree from St. Peter’s College and attended Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business.
