Financial Advisor
Erik joined UBS Private Wealth Management after spending the first 15 years of his financial career advising clients and managing assets for institutional pools of capital – most recently with Textron Inc, where he was primarily responsible for investment decisions in their $8 billion U.S. Defined Benefit Pension plan. His experience includes investment consulting, portfolio management, and governing board participation – with a passion for financial markets probably a byproduct of sitting around the Carleton family dinner table.
A graduate of Middlebury College (BA - Economics) and Bentley University (MS - Finance & MBA - Financial Planning), he brings an understanding of global markets, risk management, and institutional insights to our office. The planning and balance involved with intergenerational wealth preservation is one of his favorite professional topics, and he understands the unique challenges for both tax-exempt (Pension, Endowment, Foundation) and tax-aware (High Net Worth, Family Office) investors.
Erik currently serves on the Investment Committee for the Bentley University endowment and for the Rhode Island PBS Foundation, having also formerly served as a voting member of the state pension plan of Rhode Island. He lives in Barrington, RI with his wife and two children.
