Financial Advisor
Burke leverages the skills and business instincts he has built up in over 33 years of financial services experience to deliver a variety of wealth management solutions for clients. He works closely with high net worth individuals and their families on such matters as succession planning, portfolio management and liability strategies.
Burke's approach to wealth management revolves around relationships as he helps clients understand his investment processes to help them achieve their wants and desires. When working with clients, including multiple generations of families, Burke is sure to outline his background, the access to UBS's resources he can provide, and the client's goals so that there is clarity on how such goals will be met. He also gauges his clients' tolerance for risk, keeping them on track with the established investment strategy.
Burke has enhanced his knowledge and skill set by obtaining the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) and Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®), which focus on asset allocation, ethics, due diligence, risk measurement, investment policy and performance measurement.
Burke joined UBS in 2007 following the firms' acquisition of McDonald & Co. He graduated from Siena College, with a B.S. in Economics, concentrated in Finance and English Literature. In the community, Burke is the former President of the Troy Albany Youth Hockey Association, and former Vice President of the John and Helen Knickerbacker Memorial Playground. He and his wife, Karen, live in Colonie, NY, and have two children.
