    Brian Buetel brings three-plus decades of financial-planning experience to The Buetel Wealth Management Group, which he founded upon joining UBS in 2017. His in-depth knowledge ranges from complex investment and estate planning to private-business succession and transition strategies.

    “Ours is a multi-generational practice dedicated to transparency and the relentless pursuit of knowledge in all aspects of our advice and guidance,” Brian says. “We specialize in families seeking to empower the next generation to preserve and grow family wealth, whether it’s attained through sale of a family business or transition of assets.”

    Brian grew up with parents who struggled at times to make ends meet, unaware of the potential benefits of investing. As a child he remembers hearing his mom and dad talking late at night--when they him and his younger brothers were asleep--about how to pay the bills. Today, he is determined to make sure that other families receive the guidance they need to prosper and avoid financial anxiety.

    Brian worked from a young age at factories in St. Paul, Minnesota, in order to save money toward his dream of attending college. He finally landed a job with the Miami Dolphins football team that enabled him to cover tuition at Palm Beach Atlantic University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management. After college, Brian stayed in the fitness industry, helping to open and manage a corporate gym facility where he hired and trained more than 50 people at just 22 years old. He began his financial services career in 1984 at Merrill Lynch.

    For Cameron Buetel, wealth management is the family business. “My father loved being a financial advisor. I got into this career because I saw how rewarding it was for him,” Cameron explains. At The Buetel Wealth Management Group, Cameron and his father Brian address the needs of closely-held businesses, from tailored lending to investment banking services. They also provide customized financial planning to individuals and families. 

    “Our practice is truly multi-generational,” Cameron notes. “We are currently working with the fourth generation of some clients’ families. We offer ‘high touch’ service that involves speaking with many of our clients every month, so that we stay in touch with their evolving needs as we design and manage custom portfolios for them.”

    Prior to joining UBS Financial Services in 2016, Cameron was a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch. Today, he also specializes in helping business owners and professional athletes preserve, build and transfer wealth. He enjoys continuously learning about wealth-management so that he can educate his clients’ on financial strategies.

    Cameron’s view of wealth stewardship was influenced by his grandparents’ harrowing experience. His mother’s parents fled Cuba when the communists took over, leaving everything behind. In the United States, they were able to eventually start a small business and create financial stability for their family. Cameron spent a lot of time on his grandparent’s farm. Their struggles taught him about the importance of protecting wealth for the future.

    Today, Cameron particularly enjoys helping families safely transfer wealth to the next generation, using investment strategies built on a solid foundation of customized financial planning and personalized advice.

Eileen, her husband, and their daughter live in Coconut Creek, FL.
