Vice President–Wealth Management
Financial Advisor
With Brant Point Group, Matt has built a team whose focus is working with start-up founders and early employees to deliver comprehensive wealth planning across every phase of the start-up journey. The financial challenges and opportunities a founder may face at Seed or Series A look nothing like those at Series C. Whether navigating a significant capital raise, secondary transaction, or M&A event, each stage brings new complexities along with planning windows that open and close quickly.
Matt has deep experience assisting both early and growth stage founders with managing their founder shares and understanding their QSBS planning opportunities, along with pre-and-post-exit wealth planning centered around their family’s goals and values. By engaging early, we ensure shareholders have a well-developed long-term wealth management plan that evolves alongside their company and changing personal circumstances.
Post-exit the focus shifts to stewardship of capital. Our team works with exited founders and shareholders to maximize their post-exit wealth, focusing on each investment, its defined purpose within the portfolio, and how it can help meet your key objectives. Leveraging both internal and external resources our team will monitor current wealth strategies and evaluate ongoing opportunities for additional tax, estate, and investment planning.
From your first check through Series A and, ultimately, to exit and beyond. Our team helps founders and early employees make smarter wealth decisions at every step of the way.
Beyond his role at UBS, Matt enjoys meeting and investing as an LP with early-stage emerging VCs. Both Matt and his wife Lindsey were raised on Cape Cod, they currently live in Sagamore Beach with their dog Malfy after having spent several years living in South Boston. Matt’s wife is an entrepreneur herself, having left her corporate job in 2024 to scale her own business. Matt and Lindsey love to travel, cook and are looking forward to welcoming their first baby this fall.
