Senior Vice President–Wealth Management
Financial Advisor
Scott Blankman is a Senior Vice President – Wealth Management. His approach to providing advice reflects his 30+ years in the financial services space as both a financial advisor and an investment banker. He provides goal-based asset allocation advice, and thoughtful and deliberate wealth planning and multi-generational wealth transfer guidance.
Importantly, Scott believes a great client experience is driven by access to the broad UBS platform. This includes not only the firm’s traditional and alternatives investment platform, but also its lending and capital markets capability, and advising on a client’s broader planning and insurance/protection goals.
Many of Scott’s clients are entrepreneurs, business owners, and executives His clients appreciate that Scott strives for consistent, open dialog and idea generation – for many clients this is a hallmark of their own success.
This approach is extremely helpful for all phases of wealth planning and transfer work. In addition, this dialog- combined with input from UBS research colleagues and specialists - is essential to building and maintaining client investment plans.
Before UBS, Scott worked at a New York City-based Registered Investment Advisor, and Bernstein Global Wealth Management. Prior to that, Scott was an investment banker at Salomon Smith Barney, Schroder & Co. Inc., and SBC Warburg. As an investment banker, he was initially a mergers and acquisitions specialist, and he also raised significant amounts of equity and debt capital. He focused primarily on the media and healthcare industries.
Scott earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Brown University and his M.B.A. degree from the Wharton School. Scott currently serves on the Board of Directors - until recently as President - of Project Morry, and lives in Manhattan with his wife, Amanda, and their two children.
