Barbara Yee is a Managing Director and founder of The Yee Pine Group. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, she works with global private-owned enterprises, executives, family offices to develop holistic, cross-border solutions, wealth accumulation, preservation and wealth transfer for domestic clients and clients in APAC markets. Her team’s primary focus is to help global high net worth families develop highly customized pre-liquidity planning solutions, tax and trust planning, wealth transfer strategies to multi-generation and private foundation, and expertise in family wealth solutions and investment banking.

Barbara was born and raised in China. She speaks both Mandarin and Cantonese. Barbara began her career on Wall Street working with institutional clients and high net worth individuals and families. Prior to starting at UBS and her tenure as a wealth advisor with Morgan Stanley, Barbara was a director at AIG where she managed a $270Bn portfolio. Her team also developed sophisticated investment strategies to effectively manage risk in volatile market conditions. She draws from her wealth of knowledge and experiences to guide her clients in making the right decisions to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Barbara currently resides in Manhattan with her husband and two daughters. She is actively involved with community and non-profit organizations, having previously held board positions with Hamilton-Madison House, China Aids Fund, American Cancer Society NY, and Lower Manhattan YMCA. Her hobbies include golf, skiing and snowboarding. Barbara holds M.B.A. in Finance & Accounting from Columbia University, and B.S. and M.S. degrees in Chemical Engineer with a full scholarship from Cooper Union, New York City.

Singman Siu is a Financial Advisor with Yee Pine Group. A lawyer by training (currently non-practicing), Singman advises clients on trust and estate planning strategies and structures for wealth preservation and wealth transfer. As the director of equity portfolio construction and portfolio management, he works closely with clients to develop tailored investment solutions to address their objectives. He takes care to ensure his clients are taking full advantage of robust research capabilities and investment platforms. Singman uses an analytical approach to portfolio management, leveraging market data and trends to strategically and tactically manage clients’ investments in order to help them achieve their investment goals.

Singman has over 10 years of experience trading commodities, including oil and gas, on a large scale for a major utilities company. During his tenure, he has been responsible for due diligence, evaluating physical assets of companies and conducting in-depth risk analyses.

Singman earned his B.S. degree from Cooper Union, M.S. degree from Columbia University and J.D. from New York Law School. He is a registered Professional Engineer and has been admitted to the New York Bar. Singman is married with two children. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, snowboarding, cooking and collecting books.

A recent graduate from High Point University, Spencer started as an intern for Morgan Stanley in 2021. Spencer is currently responsible for supporting the team’s daily operations overseeing client relations and helping clients with their daily needs.

Spencer currently resides in New Jersey and in his spare time enjoys playing golf and spending time with friends and family.

James Chen is a seasoned professional with seven years of experience working with ultra-high-net-worth clients in the wealth management space. He is well versed in asset allocation, portfolio construction, trade operations, financial planning, lending solutions, liquidity strategies, and wealth transfer. 

James began his career as a Wealth Strategy Associate at UBS, where he honed his expertise. He later served as a Private Banker at J.P. Morgan Private Bank in New York City further solidifying his reputation as a trusted advisor in the field.

In addition to his financial acumen, growing up in the US and Taiwan, James is fluent in both Chinese and English. His multicultural background allows him to effectively communicate and serve a diverse clientele. James is also a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, holding a master’s degree in Business Marketing.

James is Series 7 and Series 63, 65 licensed.

Jenny plays a pivotal role in the team’s client management administrator and trading support. Her career began in the world of fine art auctions, managing major operations at Sotheby’s and Bonhams. Later, she brought her skills to Amazon, working on localization projects for the China market and specializing in data analytics and financial validations.

Originally from China, Jenny moved to the United States as a teenager and graduated from Cornell University’s School of Arts. She is fluent in Chinese.

Jenny is a registered associate with Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
