Grant is a Certified Private Wealth Advisor® having successfully completed a rigorous program of study at the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business.   The CPWA designation is an advanced credential designed for wealth managers who advise ultra-high-net-worth clients.  Grant is also a Certified Financial Planner™ and oversees the team's financial planning process. He specializes in implementing wealth management strategies for ultra-high net worth individuals and families. His process-driven approach provides a high level of flexibility and ensures that client goals are the primary drivers of their portfolio allocations. Grant also manages a model equity portfolio that can include individual equities, exchange-traded funds and mutual funds. 

A native of Washington D.C., Grant has nearly two decades of industry experience.  Prior to joining UBS in 2008, he practiced as a Certified Financial Planner® with Morgan Stanley beginning in 2002.  In 2000 before becoming an investment professional, Grant applied his biochemistry and scientific background working on the Human Genome Project at Celera Genomics in Rockville, MD. Grant received his Bachelor of Science from Dickinson College

Charles Berk

Chuck is one of a few select advisors at UBS to earn the Private Wealth Advisor designation following a rigorous training and accreditation program focused on the complex needs of individuals and families with substantial wealth. Working closely with our clients' legal and tax advisors, Chuck draws on his extensive experience in government and law to help develop bespoke solutions for our clients' most pressing matters.   

In addition to his 25 years of experience as a financial advisor, Chuck became a Certified Investment Management Analyst in 2003 through a course of study and exam sponsored by The Investments and Wealth Institute and the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania. 

From 1996 to 2006 Chuck served on a voluntary basis as an appointed trustee of the Arlington County, Virginia, Employee Retirement System where he worked with the other trustees and staff to oversee the investment portfolio and performance of the system's fully funded pension assets.

Prior to becoming an investment professional, Chuck served as the General Counsel of the Inter-American Foundation – a U.S. government corporation focused on community development in Latin America and the Caribbean. Prior to that, he was Chief Legal Counsel and a staff member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations where he advised committee members on a variety of issues related to treaty agreements, U.S. human rights policy and foreign assistance programs.  Chuck also held legal/investigative positions on the U.S. Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations and the U.S. House Select Committee on Assassinations.

Chuck holds a J.D. from the George Washington University. He also holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from Miami University (Ohio) where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Stephen Gammicchia

Steve focuses on providing exceptional service to our clients. He is responsible for team operations and executing client requests including fund transfers, order entries and account maintenance. Steve is also responsible for scheduling, organizing and documenting client meetings.

Steve has over 35 years of industry experience, including 12 at UBS. Prior to joining UBS in 2009, Steve was a vice president in the alternative investment department at Ferris, Baker Watts, Inc. He holds Series 7, 66 and 31 securities licenses. Steve received his B.F.A. from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.

Lydia Leftwich

Client Associate

Throughout her 30-year financial services career, Lydia Leftwich has worked closely with her team's clients to fully understand their financial goals and deliver personalized service and assistance in helping them achieve those goals. She strives to manage and monitor all administrative aspects of her clients' accounts by most effectively utilizing the array of UBS resources that best fit each individual's specific financial needs.

Lydia's career began in 1987 as a Sales Assistant with Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co. in Los Angeles, California. She transferred to Smith Barney's Washington, DC office in 1993 and joined UBS in 2013.

Lydia grew up in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania and has resided in Maryland since moving to the area in 1993. She is the mother of two, and the grandmother of five. Family is her one true joy and is very important to her.  After being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 39, she has made a personal commitment to become an advocate for the annual Susan G. Komen breast cancer walk.  She currently serves on the race committee for the DC walk and has actively been serving in that position for the past 14 years.  A lover of sports, as well, football is her favorite and she will forever be a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
