With more than 40 years in the industry, he offers extensive investment market experience and applies a process emphasizing long-term investment strategies. Jymm is a recognized industry leader who has been appointed to the firm’s prestigious Regional Advisory Council and The Winners Circle, which comprises top-ranked advisors regionally.
A Chicago native, Jymm graduated from Simpson College in 1972. He served on the Simpson Board of Trustees for 27 years. Jymm and his wife, Kathy, live in Clive. They have three grown children and enjoy spending time with their seven grandchildren.

Like many others at his life stage, Jim understands the many pressures of aging parents and kids preparing for college. Jim specializes in family wealth and financial planning. He helps clients take a look at the big picture, then boils it down into a game plan to help them reach their financial goals. Jim is dedicated to serving the specialized needs of investors and their families to ensure the highest level of attention and responsiveness. Jim’s expertise overflows into the Retirement Plan arena. He actively works with employers to find creative plan designs and education strategies, and spends a lot of time with participants of these plans to educate and help them understand the benefits of saving in retirement plans.
Jim grew up in Storm Lake, Iowa and graduated from Simpson College in 1982. He stays very active in the community having served as chair of The Des Moines Public School Foundation, Children and Family Services of Iowa, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, among others. He and his wife live in Des Moines and have one grown son.

Trevor helps a wide-range of clients with wealth planning, drawing on his extensive knowledge of the stock and bond markets. He understands that any financial plan must take into consideration some unexpected life changes along the way. That means making sure individuals are protected with the right wealth transfer and exit plans in place. With his deep trading background and Insurance expertise, Trevor offers a firm understanding of the analytics in investing and enjoys finding solutions from many different angles and strategies. He is great at uncovering value and the “unknown”. Investments are his passion.
Trevor grew up in Pocahontas, Iowa and graduated from Simpson College in 1992. He lives in West Des Moines with his wife, daughter and two sons. He enjoys spending time in the outdoors with his family.

With a young family, Scott understands the challenges younger workers face as they balance saving for the future while paying down debt. Scott brings the perspective that comes with nearly 15 years’ experience in mortgage and banking to financial planning. He helps clients set and meet retirement goals with a fresh approach.
Scott has also seen, first hand, the impact saving in retirement plans has made in young families lives. He has a dedicated interest in the retirement plans our team oversees. He has extensive experience working one on one with participants to enhance their retirement outcome.
Scott grew up in Creston, Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa in 2002 and received his MBA from Drake in 2010. He lives in Clive with his wife, Amanda, and their two daughters.

Running a small business can feel like a juggling act. No one understands this better than Spencer, a former president and CEO of a family-owned business. Drawing from that experience, Spencer partners with clients to navigate challenges, tackle business goals and take care of employees.
Alongside his professional career, Spencer gives his time and talent to several not-for-profit organizations including: Catholic Foundation of Southwest Iowa, National Kidney Foundation, YMCA of Greater Des Moines and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Iowa, to name a few. Having served as a volunteer, donor, board member and a myriad of other roles, he has first-hand experience with the intricacies of constructing, growing and managing large endowments and foundations. Clients will benefit from his unique perspective and invaluable expertise in this area.
Originally from West Des Moines, Spencer graduated from Central College and returned with his wife to raise their four children. Having played college-level tennis, he continues to serve as assistant coach of Dowling High School tennis team. When he’s not coaching or watching his kids’ sporting events, Spencer enjoys picking up a racquet or spending time on the golf course.

Amanda works closely with clients and retirement plan participants. Her client-centric approach helps make the investment process as smooth as possible, while building relationships with clients by anticipating client needs, solving problems, and delivering exceptional service. She helps clients with a number of topics including her specialty, rollover and consolidation. She makes sure all clients get the answers they need and the attention they deserve. Amanda also lends her knowledge in technology and online services.
Amanda is FINRA-Registered and holds her Series 7 and Series 66 Securities licenses as well as licenses for life and variable annuities.
Amanda grew up in Creston, Iowa and graduated from Simpson College in 2002 with a degree in Management, Minor in Marketing and a Specialization in Finance and Insurance. She lives in Clive with husband, Scott (see above), and their two daughters.

Kathy serves as a main contact for our clients. She leads compliance and operations for Alpha Wealth Consulting Group. With her extensive knowledge of process and legal considerations, Kathy has become an integral part of our team. Kathy is extremely dedicated to creating a positive client experience and a natural convergent thinker. She also lends her extensive knowledge in technology and online services.
Kathy is FINRA-Registered and holds her Series 7 and Series 63 and 65 Securities licenses as well as licenses for life and variable annuities.
Outside of the office Kathy has deeply rooted ties and volunteers with the Martial Artists for Children and Community (MACC) Foundation. Kathy has taken classes at DMACC and Simpson College. She lives in Madrid and spends her free time training in Tae Kwon Do and caring for her cats.

Betsy is an integral part of our teams daily operations and administration, providing and maintaining a high level of service to clients. She is focused on creating long-term relationships with our clients and ensuring that our clients’ operational requests are managed efficiently. Betsy knows the importance of outstanding client service from her years working at Starbuck’s.
Betsy is FINRA-Registered and holds her Series 7 and Series 66 Securities licenses.
Betsy grew up in Marion, Iowa and graduated from Simpson College in 2013 with a degree in Political Science and History. She lives in West Des Moines, Iowa with her husband, two children, and their greyhound.
