Jerrey's first encounter with the financial services industry was as a client of an advisor while he was still playing professional baseball. When you have created or inherited significant wealth, you have opportunities to pursue bold and meaningful undertakings. How do you make decisions that will guide you successfully forward, no matter what your goal? Your life and priorities are multidimensional. We understand how each can impact the others—not only today but for years and generations to come.
We have the experience and insight to help you preserve assets, reduce estate tax exposure and transition wealth to future generations. With our access to an extensive network of estate planning professionals, we will work closely together to help you build a comprehensive plan for transitioning assets to future generations.
Talking about future financial responsibility can be an emotional and challenging topic for both parents and children. Whether you’re discussing an inheritance, insurance, a business transition or wealth transfer, an open, honest discussion among family members makes the process more rewarding for everyone. Let us show you how.
What defines family success? A business, property, or is it more elusive: traditions, values, ethics? And how will you pass it on to the next generation with forethought, clear goals and careful execution? Too often, before sharing assets, we neglect the actual communication of wishes, plans and expectations. Let’s change that.
Our process takes you from the initial stages of exit or succession planning all the way through the transaction close. We develop a personalized strategy to help manage the proceeds and achieve your future financial goals—and life goals after you step away.
We focus on a collaborative approach that looks at all of the moving parts of your company retirement plan. This assessment helps us make more informed and tailored recommendations about streamlining design, provisions, budgets, regulatory compliance recordkeeping and, most important, retirement planning education for employees.
As we enter 2024, the questions on the top of investors’ minds center around whether history will repeat itself: Will the former president be the next president? Will the Fed cause another recession? Will we face a new deficit crisis? Will AI be as transformative as the internet? Can China break through the middle income trap? Will the new normal for interest rates be like the old normal?
A road map to help facilitate the process
Often, the process of selling a business is unknown to the business owner. This may leave them vulnerable to making significant mistakes. This brochure may serve as a general road map for facilitating the sale of a closely held business.
As they say, “failing to plan is planning to fail.” Learn how planning for the personal side of a liquidity event, both before and after the transaction, you can help mitigate risks.
An overview of philanthropic strategies and their impact to help you evaluate different options.
Discussing and dividing wealth across generations
Even though high net worth investors have made strides over the last eight years with estate planning, they worry about the financial and familial discord that can accompany wealth transfer.
