Rebecca joined UBS in June of 2001 and has over 30 years investment industry experience. Rebecca is a CPA, Certified Financial Planner, Certified Investment Management Analyst, Wealth Advisor, and Institutional Consultant. She has also completed the Wharton School's IMCA programs on Alternative Investments and Behavioral Finance. Rebecca is a member of the UBS Retirement Plan Consulting Services program, eligible to advisors who demonstrate extensive experience and knowledge related to Defined Contribution Retirement Plans. Rebecca is a graduate of Walsh College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy. She is also a graduate of Leadership Oakland's Cornerstone and Advanced Leadership Institute programs. Rebecca is a member of the Investment Management Consultants' Association, the Financial Planning Association, the MACPA and the AICPA.
A specialist in Financial and Retirement Planning, Rebecca assists clients with asset allocation, investment selection, and performance monitoring. Clients include individuals, foundations, endowments, and corporate and municipal retirement plans. Rebecca lectures frequently on the subject of asset allocation and retirement planning, giving presentations to numerous corporations, business groups and non-profits throughout Michigan.
Rebecca is past Chair and current Board Member of the Oakland County Economic Development Corporation, is a current Board Member of Leader Dogs for the Blind, and serves on the Legal/Financial Network of the Community Foundation of SE Michigan. In 2014, Rebecca was appointed by Michigan Governor Snyder to the Detroit Police and Fire Pension Investment Committee. Additionally, Rebecca is a member of the Distinguished Clown Corps supporting The Parade Company and served as the Grand Jester for America's Thanksgiving Parade in 2012.
Rebecca was named alumna of the year in 2015 by her alma mater Walsh College.
Darin joined UBS in May of 2006 and has over 18 years investment industry experience. Darin is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) and a Senior Portfolio Manager specializing in asset allocation and discretionary portfolio management. He was awarded The Leaders Circle Award – MVP in 2007 from UBS.
Darin is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. He earned his Master's Degree in Finance from the University of Wisconsin in 1995. Prior to his career at UBS, Darin was a Senior Portfolio Manager with Munder Capital Management and Comerica Bank. During his tenure at Munder Capital, his team received a 5 star rating from Morningstar for the Munder 500 Index Fund. He also served as a Portfolio Research Analyst with Flexible Plan Investments LTD, and as an Engineer for Rockwell Collins formerly known as Rockwell International in their automotive unit.
With a focus on Wealth and Retirement Planning, Darin assists an array of clients to include: individuals, businesses, foundations, endowments and retirement plans, with strategic planning, asset allocation and multigenerational wealth management. Darin speaks frequently to business groups and non-profit organizations throughout the state to provide education on these areas.
Darin has served on the First United Methodist Church Investment Committee and is currently involved in his children's football and lacrosse athletic programs. He volunteers his time between several local charities.
Grant joined UBS and the Wealth Strategy group in February of 2019. Grant earned his B.A. in Communications Studies from Albion College in 2015 while playing soccer for the Britons before completing a M.A. in Sports Management from the University of Michigan in 2016. Grant currently holds Series 7 and 66 licenses.
Assisting the Wealth Strategy Team, Grant focuses on research and performance monitoring of investment solutions. Additionally he assists in the composition and updates to Financial Goal Analysis plans for individual clients.
Passionate about staying active predominantly through golf and running, he also enjoys attending or viewing sporting events as an avid Detroit and University of Michigan sports fan.
Dana Sorensen graduated from Albion College with Honors with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Communications. She has been a part of the Wealth Strategy Team since 2014. For the team Dana specializes in technology, marketing and event planning. She is currently a member of the Detroit Crohn's and Colitis Young Person Group and the Birmingham Junior League.
Rachelle joined The Wealth Strategy Group in 2017. She began her financial career in 1985 when she joined Merrill Lynch and has worked both in administration and sales as a Retirement Plan specialist serving the direct needs of Financial Advisors and their business clients. She joined UBS in 2005 and is Series 7 and 66 licensed. In her spare time she serves on planning committees for fundraisers at Lighthouse Path and The Community House.
