A lifetime at UBS:
Monica began her career here 25 years ago (at PaineWebber) as a financial advisor. From 2002-2022 she worked at UBS Asset Management on an investment team that oversaw approximately $150 billion in assets. Her role on the team was communicating investment views directly with family offices, business owners, institutions, financial advisors, and at UBS industry events. She has referred to her role as a financial translator – making the complex easier to understand. She is an experienced public speaker who could be heard regularly giving portfolio updates or doing educational sessions on UBS Wealth Management USA’s national call network.
More recently, she has focused on the growing area of Sustainable, Responsible and Impact investing. She recently attended an eight week course sponsored by the University of Cambridge’s Sustainable Leadership Institute, served on UBS AM’s Global Sustainable Engagement committee, and will be sitting for her ESG CFA Certification next year. She joined the Vista Group in October of 2022 and is excited to be a part of the team.
Outside of UBS:
Monica and her husband Josh are both second generation Portland natives. You will often find them, along with their daughter, in Lincoln City on the weekends. They enjoy the great outdoors year-round; favorites are kayaking on Devils Lake, pulling kids on tubes behind their boat, and watching the amazing coastal wildlife. Their family manufacturing business in Oregon keeps them on their toes, as any business owner will attest to! They are active members of the Catlin Gabel community and Monica is a Portland Royal Rosarian. They are huge fans of Willamette Wine Country (also local ciders), love Halloween, and always try to live their biggest life possible.
