Mark Katz is a Senior Vice President-Wealth Management and Senior Portfolio Manager with the Uptown Wealth Advisors at UBS. Prior to joining UBS in 2008, Mark spent 17 years in the industry with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.
Mark's experience spans three decades where his focus has been developing a practice working with private clients and their families. His clients include corporate executives, independent business owners and divorcees. Further, Mark works with clients with needs associated with structured settlements, trust solutions, and distribution planning for personal injury cases.
Mark believes in a straightforward approach so that clients can clearly understand the reasoning behind the team’s recommendations. He personally meets with every client regularly to review goals, discuss markets, and explain the impact any current volatility may have on investments. Mark is committed to providing clients with the understanding they need to instill confidence in their financial future.
Marks lives in Bellaire with his wife Ali and two sons Adam and Dylan.
He holds a BBS in Finance from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

Zach Silverman is a financial advisor with Uptown Wealth Advisors at UBS and has been with the team since 2011. Prior to joining UBS, Zachary was a licensed attorney and worked with several boutique law firms.
Zach has developed a practice working with clients and their families. His clients include corporate executives, independent business owners, attorneys and doctors. Zach is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and works with clients throughout the planning process.
Zach currently lives in Bellaire, Texas with his wife Jackelyn and son Gavin and daughter Dylan.
He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration/International Relations from The American University and a Juris Doctrine from The University of Texas School of Law at Austin.
Rick is an Executive Director with Uptown Wealth Advisors at UBS. Rick as over 45 years of wealth management experience.
Throughout his career, Rick has worked with bank portfolios, trust departments, investment advisors and high net worth individuals. Rick has experience with a variety of fixed income instruments including treasuries, mortgage backed securities, government agency bonds, corporate and municipal bonds. In 1996, Rick joined what is now UBS Financial Services, transitioning his practice to focus on equities.
Rick is a graduate of the University of Texas and a native Houstonian. He lives in Houston, Texas with his wife Genie, and has four children, Andy, Tyler (Catherine), Aimee (Matt), and Chris (Caroline) and six grandchildren, Mimi, Molly, Charlotte, Tyler Jr., William and Mills.
Ed joined the wealth management industry 24 years ago after the sale of Ashbaugh Auto Rental Service, where he served as Chief Executive Officer. Originally affiliated with Morgan Stanley, Ed moved to UBS in January 2008 where he joined his son-in-law Larry Callender and the Callender Financial Group. With his clients, Ed emphasizes investment management, asset allocation and risk management. He holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses and is licensed to offer insurance. Ed is on the investment committee of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, past president of the Texas Car and Truck Rental Association and a member of Lakeside Country Club. He is also a board member of St. Luke’s UMC Foundation and a board member of the Clarewood House. Ed and his wife, Sylvia, live in Briargrove Park. Ed has two twin grandchildren, Ashley and Taylor.
Veronica began working in the wealth management business over 28 years ago when she joined the Callender Financial Group in 1987. She moved to UBS with the team in 2001. Veronica is responsible for all operations for the Callender Financial Group. She received her Series 7 and 63 securities licenses in 1992. She is married to John, a retired Houston police officer. Her daughter graduated from Texas A&M at College Station and her stepson received his master’s from Sam Houston State University. When they are not busy camping, boating or traveling, John and Veronica are busy with their other four children—Chihuahuas: Penelope Jane, Charlotte Renee, Daphne Pearl and Beatrice Claire. John and Veronica reside in the Richmond area.
Jenny is a Client Service Associate and joined Uptown Wealth Advisors in 2022. Prior to joining the team, Jenny worked in Human Resources for 5 years and held valid SHRM-CP and PHR certifications. Jenny is bilingual, with a native proficiency in Spanish. Jenny became registered with both her Series 7 and Series 66 in 2022. She completed both her undergraduate degree and MBA at University of Houston. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and going to the gym. Jenny currently lives in Houston.
