Thomas G. Rosendahl brings over 30 years experience as a First Vice President with UBS Financial Services. Tom is a Senior Portfolio Manager who manages personalized investment portfolios, with a specific focus on a select group of families and high net worth individuals. He brings a wealth of knowledge concerning the financial needs of his clients, including wealth preservation, retirement planning strategies and investment strategies that mitigate market risk while seeking competitive rates of return.
Upon the deaths of his long-time partner, Roger Cowart, and shortly after, his wife, Kathryn, Tom became acutely aware of the importance of providing long-term investment continuity for all his clients. Sharing a vision, backed by integrity and expertise, Tom, together with Kevin Greene and David Jackson, formed TruPoint Wealth Management in 2013. As Senior Partner, Tom, sought to expand the scope of their investment platform to include fundamental and technical market analysis, and effective wealth management and planning strategies. One year after the formation of TruPoint, Scott Nelson joined the business, to enhance fixed income and fundamental analysis capabilities.
Tom’s passion for the investment business was influenced by his father, who had a distinguished banking career. Later, Tom attended Oregon State University on an athletic scholarship, where he studied Business Administration with a focus on economics, marketing and accounting. After graduation, Tom worked with a leading global manufacturing company as a senior manager. In 1983, Tom joined Paine Webber, acquired by UBS in 2001, where he has built a successful finance and investment business, and achieved professional recognition.
Believing that he has a responsibility to “give back to the community”, Tom is involved in a number of non-profit organizations, with a focus on child services and healthcare. Tom supports the Providence Cancer Center and the Legacy Hopewell House and Friends of the Children, among others.
Tom is blessed to have strong family relationships and friendships throughout the country, and most importantly, a long-term marriage to his wife Kathryn, before her sudden death due to cancer. Tom enjoys his time with his five children, and three grandchildren. Tom spends his leisure time playing golf, boating, and world travel.
Scott has been an investment advisor for over 30 years. Scott’s investment philosophy is his belief that every portfolio should be anchored with some fixed income investments to balance the portfolio and to help manage risk. As a Senior Portfolio Manager, Scott recognizes that there are relative value differences in the bond market, and that these can be used to enhance value and return, while minimizing risk.
Scott evaluates the fixed income markets daily to identify investments that offer attractive yields and high credit worthiness to preserve capital. During his analysis he studies liquidity, credit quality, historic performance, the purpose of the bond offering, the term of the bond and comparative returns. This analysis allows Scott to identify specific issues for placement in client portfolios. Additionally, Scott provides analysis on equities where he identifies companies with strong attributes that increase the probability of a successful investment outcome. He seeks ownership in companies that possess strong revenue growth, high cash flow, low debt, attractive internal returns, and, preferably, an attractive dividend yield with a history of increasing the dividend. Scott is also a registered and accredited Wealth Advisor with UBS Financial Services.
At an early age, Scott gained valuable business insight while becoming a partner in a family business. To this day, Scott utilizes these business ethics and principles that have proven valuable throughout his career. Prior to his involvement in the business, Scott attended Vennard College, where he earned his degree in Biblical Studies and Humanities. While there, he was a basketball standout who won league and tournament honors as a point guard. Upon graduation, Scott worked as an investment advisor for 1st Federal Savings and Loan in Portland before he joined Transamerica. He started with Piper Jaffray in 1985 to pursue his career as a Senior Investment Advisor and remained with the firm until it was acquired by UBS Financial Services in 2006.
In 2015, while looking for the synergies of a larger group and additional administrative support, Scott joined TruPoint Wealth Management. This provided him a better opportunity to focus on fixed income portfolio management, while providing clients a more comprehensive investment approach, professional support and a depth of service capabilities to meet the complexities and growing needs of clients, including bond and equity investments, wealth planning, insurance, banking and risk management.
Scott has been happily married to Laurie for 28 years. They have twin children- a boy, Isaac, and a girl, Laural. Scott enjoys time with his family, watching Isaac pursue his interest in basketball, being involved with Laural's painting aspirations and supporting his church.
Kevin Greene is a Portfolio Manager with over 27 years of experience in the financial services industry. Kevin manages investment portfolios that are personalized to meet specific needs of individuals, families and high net-worth investors. He is also directly involved with wealth planning services, retirement planning and risk management strategies. Kevin uses a blend of fundamental and technical analysis to construct portfolios with various styles and attributes to offer the best opportunity for capital appreciation and income. Kevin believes that the selection of sound companies with market leadership and accelerating earnings provide the foundation of a strong portfolio. Through his focus on technical analysis, he seeks to maximize returns while moderating risk. He believes this approach produces attractive returns and helps navigate the effects of market volatility over time.
