Jim began his career as a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley in 1999, working in Monterey, California. As the financial landscape shifted during the 2008 crisis, he transitioned his practice to UBS, demonstrating resilience and adaptability. Jim is committed to guiding clients through the process of financial planning, helping them identify and prioritize their wealth goals.

With a focus on building customized portfolios, Jim works closely with his clients to ensure their investment strategies align with their objectives while effectively managing risk. After completing an intensive accreditation process, Jim joined UBS’s Private Wealth Division in 2020, where he leverages his expertise to assist ultra-high-net-worth families. He specializes in complex asset transfers and developing strategies designed to preserve wealth across generations.

Jim’s leadership experience includes serving as Branch Manager of the St. Petersburg, Florida office and as Market Director for the Carmel and Merced, California offices. He, his wife Diane, and their four children—Lily, Andrew, Aiden, and Ella—split their time between St. Petersburg, FL and San Francisco, CA. Outside of work, Jim enjoys fishing, playing golf and tennis, and cherishes spending quality time with his family.

Eric is a Client Service Associate and Team Administrator with the Coast to Coast Wealth Advisors. He assists with the day-to-day operations and works directly with clients to address their needs.

Trained as an accountant, Eric moved to wealth management and joined UBS in February 2018. A native of San Francisco, Eric has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Golden Gate University.

Carter is a Client Service Associate with the Coast to Coast Wealth Advisors. He was born in Silver Spring, MD and grew up in Vero Beach, FL.

In 2019, Carter graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication and a minor in Business. At the University of Kansas, he served as the team’s starting quarterback and team captain.

Upon graduation, Carter accepted a position as an associate for Bernstein Private Wealth Management in Tampa, FL. He joined UBS in March of 2022 and has obtained the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) license, Series 7 license, and Series 66 license.

Outside of the office, Carter enjoys being on the water, golfing, volunteering with youth sports and spending time with friends and family.

Mekali began working in the financial services industry more than 15 years ago, and joined UBS in 2016 where she is responsible for management and service of client needs. A born collaborator she cultivates strong relationships with clients through open communication and proactive service.

Mekali was born and raised in the foothills of Mt Hood in Oregon. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business with a certificate in Conflict Resolution and Mediation from Marylhurst University.

Outside of UBS, Mekali enjoys running, hiking, and camping throughout Oregon with her husband and three sons.

Imelda Renteria began her career in the financial services industry in 1998 and joined UBS in 2015. She is a valued member of the Coast to Coast Wealth Advisors, where she takes pride in building meaningful relationships with clients and ensuring they feel supported throughout their investment journey.

Born and raised in Concord, California, Imelda earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga. She obtained her Series 7 license in 1998 and brings decades of experience and a client-focused approach to her role.

Outside the office, Imelda enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their French Bulldog, Coco, often taking long walks together. Her warm personality and dedication to service make her an integral part of the team.

Originally from Monterey County, Christale holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton and a second Bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University. She is a Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR), with a strong foundation in the nonprofit sector, where she focused on service, education, and community impact.

In 2025, she transitioned into the financial services industry and joined UBS, where she brings her passion for helping others to the world of wealth management. A born collaborator, she cultivates strong relationships with clients through open communication and proactive service.

Outside of UBS, she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, often exploring the Central Coast and embracing all that family life has to offer.

Opal Rivas is a Client Associate based in Saint Petersburg, FL, and has been with UBS since March 2022. She supports financial advisors by managing client relationships and coordinating account activities. Known for her attention to detail and collaborative approach, Opal works closely with colleagues to ensure a seamless client experience.

Opal earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Intelligence and National Security from the University of Central Florida. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and son.
