Steven West, Financial Advisor, is the founding member and Senior Partner of the West Group. He joined Legg Mason in 1999 as a financial advisor. Through the years, he has successfully transitioned his clients from the acquisition of Legg Mason by Smith Barney to the Joint Venture between Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley. Moreover, it was during this transition that Steve achieved the positions of Vice President, First President and, presently, Senior Vice President.

Steve received his Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) in 2003 and his Chartered Retirement Plan Specialist^SM (CRPS®) designation in 2012. He graduated with honors in Economics and Magna Cum Laude in 1996 from Western Maryland College upon transferring, after one year, from the United States Military Academy at West Point. He has a double-major in Economics and Business Administration and a minor in Accounting. Steve has passed numerous examinations in the securities industry including FINRA Series 7, 66 and Insurance. He earned his Certified Public Account designation (CPA) in 1997 (he is a non-practicing CPA).

Steve resides in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife Nancy and his son Bradley. He has two grown step-sons, Bobby and Michael and a step-granddaughter, Ellie.

Nick Feracci, Financial Advisor, has been in the industry since 2009 and exclusively with The West Group since 2010. He works closely with clients to develop goal based strategies to address all areas of financial life including: asset accumulation, insurance analysis, tax and estate planning strategies, education funding, retirement income and distribution planning. As part of The West Group’s client centric service model, Nick coordinates communication between his clients, their other trusted professional advisors, and The West Group’s planning team to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Nick is a Certified Financial Planner™, earned his bachelor degree from McDaniel College in Westminster, MD, and holds his Series 7, 66, & 31 as well as his life and insurance licenses.

He is a lifelong resident of Baltimore, Maryland and was raised in Little Italy. He currently resides in Lutherville, MD, with Michelle and his two children, Madison and Dominic.
