An industry veteran since 1992, Jason is the senior member and founder of Katz Wealth Management and a UBS Managing Director, a title reserved for a handful of business leaders around the globe.
As a Senior Portfolio Manager, Jason oversees several customized equity, exchange traded funds, and institutional mutual fund models. He also has extensive experience in selecting and monitoring top institutional money managers, hedge funds and private equity funds for clients. He holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation, administered by the Investment Management Consultants Association® and taught in conjunction with The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. And, as one of UBS’s elite Private Wealth Advisors, Jason has completed comprehensive training in financial planning, asset management and wealth transfer strategies.

From 2013 to 2015, Jason was a member of the UBS Financial Advisor Advisory Council, a select group chosen to represent the entire population of UBS Financial Advisors in order to shape the firm’s wealth management strategies. He has completed both the UBS Wealth Management Education and Portfolio Management programs and maintains his Series 7, 31, 63 and 65 securities licenses as well as the New York State life and health insurance licenses.
Outside of UBS
Jason received his B.A. in finance from Boston University. He lives on Long Island with his wife, Amy, and their three children: Brittney, Amanda and Benjamin. Jason is an avid golfer, tennis player and swimmer who has completed multiple triathlons. He is also an active leader in his community as the JCC Special Needs Basketball Clinic Chairman, Roslyn Travel and Booster Basketball Head Coach, American Corporate Partners Veteran Mentor and a member of the Roslyn JCC Sports Advisory Council.
Marc, co-founder of The Synergy Group, is a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager. Marc’s focus has always been to be his client’s primary source of financial advice and to provide quality investment services and appropriate estate planning strategies.
Marc has over four decades of experience managing individual and institutional assets. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association and a member of the Bar of the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern District of New York.
Marc obtained his Bachelors degree in political science from Hofstra University. Marc and his wife, Ilana, split their time between Manhattan and Old Chatham, NY. Their son Bradford and his family live in Manhattan.
Zach joined UBS in 2002 and serves as a Client Service Associate, working closely with clients to prepare account reviews, portfolio proposals, and trading.
Zach received his B.A. in political science from SUNY Albany, with minors in both business and Spanish, and holds Series 7 and 63 securities licenses. In his spare time, enjoys sailing and any type of exercise.

Alex has been a key member of the team for nearly two decades, overseeing all of the team’s fixed income strategies and lending solutions. He works closely with clients to manage their bond portfolios, utilizing municipal, government and corporate fixed income as well as short-term cash alternatives. In addition, Alex advises clients on UBS borrowing capabilities, such as securities-backed lines of credit. Lastly, he focuses on corporate and executive services, helping those who must comply with Rule 144, restricted stock/options and 10b5-1 requirements.

Alex enjoys spending time with his family—his wife, Michelle, and their three children, Alexander, Christopher and Elizabeth. He is an active participant in the UBS Community Affairs & Corporate Responsibility program and enjoys tennis, music and spending time with his family.
Evan has served in a variety of roles since joining the team in 2004. Today he partners with Jason on the essential area of client outreach. Together they proactively contact clients to review portfolio strategy, account performance, and market updates. Evan also collaborates with the team in analyzing portfolios and presenting investment solutions tailored to clients’ individual portfolios. Finally, Evan co-heads the team's comprehensive financial planning process, reviewing such topics as retirement planning, asset allocation, investment management and insurance needs.

Ryan serves as the team's lead Portfolio Analyst, responsible for performing extensive reviews of clients’ investment portfolios and helping to develop customized solutions to align their portfolios with their financial plans. Ryan also oversees trading for all equities, exchange traded funds, mutual funds and options. Lastly, he heads the team's institutional money manager and investment solution due diligence process.
